New Partner Care & Discipleship Ministry Moment: “Living Life In its Fullness” By Rev. Kimberly Anne Giles John 10:10, The Passion Translation (TPT) Psalm 23 (TPT)

Welcome to February Real Power Family! We have declared that our theme for 2021 is “Living Life in the Overflow”. Our foundation scripture comes from John 10:10 (TPT), which states, “A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!”. Many of the sermons that pastor preached from last month came from Psalm 23. I have challenged myself to read, listen to, and reflect on Psalm 23 every day in a different translation. The 23rd Psalm in my opinion, is a beautiful passage that shows us how living life in its fullness and abundance looks, as well as tells us how that is achievable. I am fully convinced that the only way we can manifest living life in the overflow is by following the Shepherd. It is not just important for us to know God’s voice and his word but to also follow God’s voice, to follow God’s will, and to follow God’s way, so that we can manifest the life that God has designed for us to live. God our Shepherd is leading us to live life in the overflow but are you willing to follow? Let this year, be the year we all live our lives in its fullness as we follow the Lord.

Monthly Meditation: “Let Love Live” By Rev. Dawn Adams John 3:16-17 For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life. “God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it! In these different, difficult, and at times disheartening times we can find it hard to love. When men and women of color continue to be slaughtered in our neighborhoods, on our streets and in their own homes, we can find it hard to love. When faced with a pandemic, paralyzed by fear and promises are broken we can find it hard to love. But thank God, for how much he loved the world!! He sent his one and only son so that when times are difficult and our loved ones are being killed and the pandemic is still lingering that we can be reminded that he was sent to rescue us from it all. His love “L”ifts us out of despair, “O”ffers us hope, “V”alues our lives and “E”xcells us to greatness. So Let Love Live in each of us and watch it conquer all.

HEALTHY, WEALTHY, & WISE: February 2021 is American Heart Month Why do we observe American Heart Month every February? Well, every year more than 600,000 Americans die from heart disease. The number one cause of deaths for most groups, heart disease affects all ages, genders, and ethnicities. Risk factors include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, and excessive alcohol use. Heart disease occurs when the arteries leading to the heart become clogged. Although heart disease has been around for thousands of years, we do know that many aspects of modern life exacerbate risk factors and make people more prone to heart disease and heart failure. Today, one in four deaths in the U.S. is attributable to heart disease. Heart disease can affect everyone, but taking stock of your prior health risks, activities and diet can help you reduce your risk. Plan healthy and fun meals with your family. Do you know how to keep your heart healthy? You can take an active role in reducing your risk for heart disease by eating a healthy diet, engaging in physical activity, and managing your cholesterol and blood pressure. This is a great chance to start some heart-healthy habits! Plan healthy and fun meals with your family. Source: AMERICAN HEART MONTH - February 2021 | National Today.
