PASTOR’S Words: John 3:1-17, TPT

“God’s Word”

1 Now there was a prominent religious leader among the Jews named Nicodemus, who was part of the sect called the Pharisees and a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 One night he discreetly came to Jesus and said, “Master, we know that you are a teacher from God, for no one performs the miracle signs that you do, unless God’s power is with him.” 3 Jesus answered, “Nicodemus, listen to this eternal truth: Before a person can perceive God’s kingdom realm, they must first experience a rebirth.” 4 Nicodemus said, “Rebirth? How can a gray-headed man be reborn? It’s impossible for a man to go back into the womb a second time and be reborn!” 5 Jesus answered, “I speak an eternal truth: Unless you are born of water and Spirit-wind, you will never enter God’s kingdom realm. 6 For the natural realm can only give birth to things that are natural, but the spiritual realm gives birth to supernatural life! 7 “You shouldn’t be amazed by my statement, ‘You must be born from above!’ 8 For the Spirit-wind blows as it chooses. You can hear its sound, but you don’t know where it came from or where it’s going. So it is within the hearts of those who are Spirit-born!” 9 Then Nicodemus replied, “But I don’t understand, what do you mean? How does this happen?” 10 Jesus answered, “Nicodemus, aren’t you the respected teacher in Israel, and yet you don’t understand this revelation? 11 I speak eternal truths about things I know, things I’ve seen and experienced—and still you don’t accept what I reveal. 12 If you’re unable to understand and believe what I’ve told you about the natural realm, what will you do when I begin to unveil the heavenly realm? 13 No one has risen into the heavenly realm except the Son of Man who also exists in heaven.” 14 “And just as Moses in the desert lifted up the brass replica of a snake on a pole for all the people to see and be healed, so the Son of Man is ready to be lifted up, 15 so that those who truly believe in him will not perish but be given eternal life. 16 For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life. 17 “God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it!

Real Power for Real Living!!!! Agape’

Pastor Harold B. Hayes, Jr.

Let’s Pray a Hedge of Protection Around Our Pastor Father, I thank You for being Jehovah Jireh our provider. I pray that my pastor walks in perpetual abundant prosperity. I declare that every spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial need is met now in Jesus name. I come against lack in any manner from being in his life in Jesus name. I declare that he will always have more than enough to meet every budget for this ministry as well as every personal goal for every good endeavor. Because You are El Shaddai, (The God of More Than Enough), I fully expect that there will always be an overflow of provision for each phase of this vision in order that it will come to pass and flourish. Let Your will be done and accomplished in excellence. Because You are a first class God, I declare Pastor Hayes will always go first class in life because as You are, so are we in this earth realm. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. (Prayer from Deborah L. Grant’s “Have You Prayed For Your Pastor Lately?”)

New Partner Care & Discipleship Ministry Moment: “Can I Get A Witness?”

By Rev. Kimberly Anne Giles

Acts 10:34-43 Focus Scripture Acts 10:41 (The Passion Translation), “He didn’t appear to everyone, but he appeared to us, his chosen witnesses.” Welcome to April Real Power family. We have come through another lent season and have made it to Resurrection Sunday also known as Easter Sunday. Resurrection Sunday is the first Sunday of this month and is the time when we remember and celebrate how God raised our Lord and Savior from the dead. I encourage you to read the scripture passage found in Acts 10:34-43. In this passage you will see Peter inspiring people to continue to share the good news about who Jesus Christ is so that others will believe in Jesus and receive forgiveness of sins through his name. One way that Peter inspires the people to preach and or testify about Jesus was to remind them of how Jesus chose a few people to appear to after God had raised him from the dead. This means that the people who have had a personal encounter with Jesus also has the responsibility and command to go forth and tell someone else about it. Today, God is still showing up in personal ways through many of our lives, and we have an opportunity to be a witness. We have an opportunity to share with others our personal testimonies of how God showed up in our lives. Therefore, be inspired to be a witness and testify about your personal encounter with the Lord.

Monthly Meditation: “The Power to Create with your Words” By Min. Dechi Frazier “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Prov. 18:21 I found myself facing serious life-threatening medical challenges recently. I was physically exhausted and emotionally drained. It was hard to speak God’s Word because of the pain I was experiencing. But, I am so grateful that during this time my pastor, family, and friends were calling and texting the word of God. I woke up one night remembering the importance and power of God’s Word when spoken, so I walked to the mirror and started to declare, “I shall live and not die.” God has given us the power to use His words to speak life to dead situations. I had to speak life in the midst of my medical crisis and declare that I was being healed and restored. Genesis 1:3A says “Then God said…” and God created the world by His words, so the bible teaches us that the words we speak are powerful and can create our world. So if you don’t like your world, change your words. As we know “life will life us” with different obstacles, situations, and circumstances. However, Proverbs 18:21 states that “life and death is in the power of the tongue,” so I had to choose life over death concerning my health. I had to speak life by speaking God’s word in faith, knowing that His Word is our bread of life and it’s true. As believers, we must allow our words to bless our lives and not curse our lives. As we hide the word of God in our hearts, it will produce freedom and liberty in our spirit. So I encourage you to find a scripture that you can stand on and declare God’s Word over your situations. If we make God’s word a part of our daily life it will increase our faith. According to Hebrew 11:1, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen.” In other words, we must renew our minds daily with God’s word. We must speak God’s word to negate all the negativity that comes to us from so many different sources. I am learning to speak God’s word in exasperating times because I am a conqueror. Luke 6:38 God declares that His word will not return void. Most believers speak what already exists, and not what can be, so I challenge you to speak and affirm God’s word daily with authority to live the abundant life. We have been given a powerful weapon to use against the enemy: the weapon of God’s word. Like a skilled soldier in the army of the Lord, we should use this weapon to speak life and not death.

HEALTHY, WEALTHY, & WISE: April is National Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder that leads to shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with walking, balance, and coordination. Parkinson’s symptoms usually begin gradually and get worse over time. As the disease progresses, people may have difficulty walking and talking. They may also have mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue. Both men and women can have Parkinson’s disease. However, the disease affects about 50 percent more men than women. One clear risk factor for Parkinson’s is age. Although most people with Parkinson’s first develop the disease at about age 60, about 5 to 10 percent of people with Parkinson’s have “early-onset” disease, which begins before the age of 50. Early-onset forms of Parkinson’s are often, but not always, inherited, and some forms have been linked to specific gene mutations. What Causes Parkinson’s Disease? Parkinson’s disease occurs when nerve cells, or neurons, in an area of the brain that controls movement become impaired and/or die. Normally, these neurons produce an important brain chemical known as dopamine. When the neurons die or become impaired, they produce less dopamine, which causes the movement problems of Parkinson’s. Scientists still do not know what causes cells that produce dopamine to die. Some major Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease: Tremor (trembling) in hands, arms, legs, jaw, or head; Stiffness of the limbs and trunk; Slowness of movement; and Impaired balance and coordination, sometimes leading to falls. Diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease: A few disorders can cause symptoms like those of Parkinson’s disease. People with Parkinson’s-like symptoms that result from other causes are sometimes said to have parkinsonism. While these disorders initially may be misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s, certain medical tests, as well as response to drug treatment, may help to distinguish them from Parkinson’s.
