Programs And Initatives
In addition to our regular learning supports, Student Learning Services also offers:
Class Visits: Our team is available for class visits to talk with learners about the learning support services available at the college
In-Class Tutoring: Faculty can request an In-Class Peer Tutor for their courses In-Class Tutors offer one-on-one tutoring assistance to learners during the class without disrupting the faculty member or other learners
Math Workshops: Learners can attend our focused workshops to become familiar with the BAII+ calculator, important statistics topics, and specific tutorials or attend a drop-in session for business and technical math
Peer Tutor & Pass Leader Recruitment: We are continuously recruiting high achieving learners who are interested in working on campus and giving back to their peers by sharing their academic skillset. Faculty are encouraged to reach out to us if there is a learner in their classes who would be an excellent Peer Tutor or PASS Leader
Writing Workshops: Conversation Circle and Conversation 1-on-1 offer an opportunity for students to practice their skills, and our APA and Academic Integrity workshops supports academic writing
