STUDENT LEARNING SERVICES

Student Learning Services (SLS) provides academic support to learners through different modes of engagement intended to support in-class curriculums We collaborate with faculty and learners to make a positive impact on the learning experience, inside and outside the classroom. Student Learning Services seeks to remove barriers for Humber and GuelphHumber's diverse population of learners by working with them to encourage critical thinking and independent learning.

Peer Assisted Learning Support (PALS)

Provides peer-lead programming to support learners as follows:

CRLA certified Peer Tutors offer up to 3 hours of free tutoring in various courses

Peer Leaders offer engaging group study sessions for challenging courses

Peer Coaches provide tips & tricks in managing and navigating post-secondary life Learners registered with Accessible Learning Services can access Note Taking Services

Math & Writing Centre

Provides free tutoring to all Humber and Guelph-Humber learners:

Math tutors offer help with any math-related topic including, but not limited to, technical math, business math, statistics, physics, and calculus

Writing tutors provide writing support including, but not limited to, grammar, essay development, research skills, business writing, English as a Second Language support, and citing sources

Engineering tutors provide oneone-one and group tutorial sessions to support Bachelor of Engineering degree learners with math and physics courses
