Lady Bulldogs beat Blue Ridge and Leonard to stay in playoff hunt

The Howe Lady Bulldogs (10-14, 3-3) evened their district record with dominating wins over Blue Ridge and Leonard last week. On Tuesday, Howe junior Kendall Griffin exploded for seven points in the first quarter as she did what she does which is drive the lane and draw fouls to get the free throw line. But she wasn’t alone as the supporting cast saw two 3-pointers from Jentrie Doty, a 3-pointer from Teagan Stubblefield, a field goal from Emery Snapp, and a foul shot from Presley Shockey which gave Howe 19 points in the first quarter while holding the Lady Tigers to nine. Howe ended up with a 33-15 lead at the half and 50-26 lead heading into the fourth. Howe dominated the fourth for the 65-36 win. Griffin ended with 19 points with Emery Snapp right behind her with 14 points. Shockey added 10 points. On Friday, Howe traveled to Leonard
again dominated with Griffin and Snapp working the inside-out game. Griffin totaled 16 points while Snapp netted 14. Shockey led Howe with four rebounds.
