Howe’s monthly sales tax over $50,000 Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced Wednesday he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $1.2 billion in local sales tax allocations for August, 10.8 percent more than in August 2021.
In Howe, the numbers were slightly up from a year ago during the same period. For the month, Howe brought in $50,299.40. For the year, Howe is at $366,941.13. Overall, Howe is eight percent ahead of the 2021 pace.
These allocations are based on sales made in June by businesses that report tax monthly and on sales made in April, May, and June by quarterly filers. City
