BlackRock is one of the largest or THE largest shareholder of these banks. If you have a pension fund such as a 401,
superannuation, your fund puts into investments to help it grow for retirement. But most people don’t have a say where the money is going. But it doesn’t really matter, because they’re all investing in BlackRock. There’s a great chance your money is being invested in this company in some way. Many of the largest insurance companies such as AIG or Allianz are either owned in part or invest with BlackRock’s funds. In America, more insurance companies hold their investments with BlackRock than with any other company. It’s been reported that in America, BlackRock and pension funds are paying up to 50 percent higher than the asking price of single-family homes, in the attempt to buy as much of the real estate market as they can. This allows them to massively drive up the price of real estate and lowers the chances of the everyday person to buy those homes.
