What a Big XII game it was Saturday night. The OSU Cowboys squeaked by the Oklahoma Sooners for an incredible 37-33 win. They’ll now play Baylor in the championship. This was OSU’s 19th win in the heavily lopsided series where OU has 90 wins. As a matter of fact, the series is so lopsided, we found these numbers: If you were to give Oklahoma State double points for every time they scored in a Bedlam game, Oklahoma would still lead the series 68-45-3. Or…if OSU keeps their pace of 19 wins of 116, they’ll hit 90 wins in the year 2480. Or…Oklahoma has been to the Orange Bowl more times than Oklahoma State has won Bedlam. But on Sunday, Sooners were left crying again as Head Coach Lincoln Riley announced he was leaving for USC. Everyone else seemed happy about the news. Shelley Luther seeking to represent Grayson County for Texas House seat Grayson County’s most recent resident has her eye on the Texas House District 62 seat representing the Grayson, Fannin, Franklin, and Delta Counties. Conservative Republican Shelley Luther, who resides in the Luella area, will challenge Republican incumbent Reggie Smith who has held the office since 2018. Luther gained notoriety around the country in May 2020 when she was confined in a penal facility for opening her small business hair salon in Dallas after Texas Governor Greg Abbott required “nonessential” businesses close all of April 2020 as the pandemic spread throughout the state. "People cannot take it upon themselves to determine what they will and will not do," Abbott said. Perhaps that statement against “We the People” is what fueled Luther to begin her involvement in state politics. Almost immediately, she faced off with Drew Springer for the Texas State District 30 seat and found herself in a special run-off election in December last year where Springer won

Shelley Luther eventually. But in Grayson County, she won by nearly seven points. “I have one of my employees call me and say that they hadn’t eaten in two days just to make sure my kids are fed,” said Luther. “My husband and I cried a lot,
