Lady Bulldogs win consolation in tournament
The Lady Bulldogs celebrate in Valley View. Photo by Alexa Brunner. The Howe Lady Bulldogs opened the season by taking Valley View to the wire. The Howe girls lost 25-22 and 25-16 before tying forcing a game five with wins of 25-12 and 25-22. Valley View took the final match, 15-11 for the win. Howe then lost to S&S by scores of 25-21, 25-14, and 25-13. Over the weekend, the Lady Bulldogs turned things around in the Chisum tournament. They began the tournament losing to Pittsburg 25-21 and 25-12, however, they kicked in gear and defeated Sam
Howe vs. Valley View Rayburn 25-13 and 25-22. The Howe girls also defeated North Hopkins by scores of 25-20 and 25-22. Howe will travel to Tom Bean on Tuesday with JV teams beginning at 5 pm and varsity to follow. The varsity will then enter the Denison Tournament on August 1921.
