Lady Bulldogs drop two to Gunter, Blue Ridge The Howe Lady Bulldogs are still in search of a district win, but Head Coach Erin Lopez says the team is improving and evidence was shown in the first two sets against Blue Ridge on Friday. Howe lost to Gunter on Tuesday, 25-12, 25-12, and 25-11. Sierra Copeland led Howe with four kills while Hannah Dwyer added three blocks, three assists, five digs, and two aces in a wellrounded performance. Gracie Lankford led the Lady Bulldogs in digs with eight and Korie Bouse added six. Other digs were recorded by Grace Brennan (4), Aireanna Hamm (1), Teagan Stubblefield (1), and Jayda Ray (1). Alexia Womack had one block. On Friday, Howe lost to Blue Ridge in sets of 25-21, 25-23, and 25-11. Copeland and Dwyer each had six kills and Holly Cavender had 16 assists, five digs, and a kill. recorded seven digs, two aces, and one kill. Others were Grace Brennan (one dig), Bouse (three digs, one kill), Talia Bjorn (two aces, one dig, one kill), Ray (four digs), Womack (one kill, one dig). Howe will play at Bells Tuesday and at Whitewright on Friday.
