January Employee of the Month December Employee of the Month I am so honored to be employee of the month at Summit Hill Elementary! My husband and I have two children, Olivia (4) and Van (6). I grew up in Houston, then attended college and graduated at Texas Woman’s University in Denton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development. I met my husband in Denton and after graduation we moved to Houston for three years where I worked for Brazoria County’s Early Childhood Intervention program. We moved to Howe in 2012 and I began working for Collin County’s ECI program. We live on 12.5 acres with three dogs, 35 chickens, and 17 alpacas! Our family loves to go snowboarding, camping, and being outdoors. I

Hi, I'm Alicia Wilson, second grade teacher at Summit Hill Elementary. This is my ninth year teaching second grade and I absolutely love it. My husband Clay and I moved to Texas immediately after graduating from the University of Oklahoma and made our home in Mabank, Texas where I began teaching kindergarten. Once we became parents, it was my goal to be a stay at home mom to my three children, Jackson, Eli, and Mia. I always intended to return to teaching, but I never dreamed I'd teach anything but Kindergarten. After moving to Howe in 2004 and our daughter beginning school in 2010, I was blessed and fortunate to be hired as a full-time SECOND grade teacher! It would be a new adventure but I was ready for it! I must say, I've never looked back...I absolutely LOVE teaching second grade. And I absolutely LOVE teaching in Howe. I have the best team of co-
Howe Intermediate School Extra recess in order at school! Congratulations to Logan Nitchman and Dylan Mayhue who both earned and served as “Principal for a 1/2 day”. Congratulations to Mrs. Kim Duncan, for being selected as the HIS “Staff Member of the Month” for December and to Mrs. Melynne Noble for being selected for January. Mrs. Duncan teaches RSC and MSC Intervention classes. Mrs. Noble is a 5th grade math teacher.

Alicia Wilson teacher besties, support staff, and administrators. My personal children have had wonderful teachers through their entire school career and I have had the pleasure and privilege to teach, nurture, and love some AMAZING children and their families in this wonderful town.
