The news cycle is important in our day and age. During the impeachment trial in the Senate, the Democrats had the full attention of the country with most TV stations carrying the hearing. But the Republicans will probably not get the full attention of the country because of the tragic helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and his daughter among others. Bryant will forever be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players ever to suit up. Very sad. It is still puzzling how Joe Biden can brag about bribing the Ukrainian government over a billiondollar loan guarantee and yet when President Trump wants to investigate the corruption, he’s impeached for it. Sounds like we have just crossed over into the Twilight Zone. Welcome to the fifth dimension.

A new window was placed outside of the entry way at Howe High School.

Renovations were completed last week at the entryway for Howe High School. For security reasons, windows were placed just outside and inside the entry door and visitors will now check-in at that location instead of in the office in the middle of the building. During Monday night’s school board meeting, Superintendent Kevin Wilson outlined the possibility of switching the office area and the library.

With two young children in the Howe school system, Brad Anderson decided to run for the Howe ISD Board of Trustees in early 2011. In May of that year, he received 104 votes to overtake the seat previously held by Chris Hayes. Anderson’s soft-

The estimate received for the work was $945,000 but Wilson expects that number is much higher than what the true endresult figure would be as he said he anticipated much of the plan to be scaled back. The figure did not include architectural fees to draw the plan which would

The Howe Lady Bulldogs ranked 20th in Class 3A in the state, won two games last week giving them a 71 district record and a 21-6 overall season record. Howe’s 49-23 win over Whitewright and 70-27 win at Blue Ridge sets up a rematch with Bells who is ranked 18th in the state. Howe won the first matchup with Bells in November by a score of 36 -28 to give them first place in the Bells Tournament. But in the district matchup, Howe lost to Bells, 49-46 while missing the district’s
