City of Howe’s sales tax on pace City council and P&Z agendas for 10 percent increase in 2019 Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced Wednesday he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $773.1 million in local sales tax allocations for October, 5.1 percent more than in October 2018. These allocations are based on sales made in August by businesses that report tax monthly. The council will enter into a Public Hearing to consider a Zone change request from Donna Wormsbaker , for a zone change at: G-0825 MARSHALL JOHN C A-G0825, ACRES 13.79, from C-1 to C-2, Property ID # 152651. Proposed use: Commercial District, future development. The Howe City Council will enter into a public hearing to consider ordinance no. 768, an ordinance adopting the 2015 edition of the international property maintenance code. Ordinance no. 768 an ordinance of the city council of the city of Howe, Texas, adopting the 2015 edition of the international property maintenance code, regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures, by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use, and the demolition of such existing structures in the city of Howe, Texas; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees thereof; providing for a penalty and setting a maximum fine of $2,000.00; repealing ordinance no. 618a of the city of Howe and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.
