Carolyn Cherry and Katina Harris, leaders of Girls Scouts, presented information about Girl Scouts to the girls in hopes attracting new scouts to the local program.

Howe Bulldogs 5th-6th grade beat Bells, 7-6.

Submitted information: Fuhr - two sacks, 95-yard touchdown. Allen - three sacks, two assists and great sportsmanship. Thomas - 38-yard carry. Ross - 25-yard kickoff return, one sack, two assists. D. Bender - three touchdowns, one 2-point conversion, 35-yard pass to Crosson. Davidson - one sack, two assists. McNutt - one sack, two assists. Roberts - three assists. Ellision - blocked for D. Bender, Bender up recovered score, five tackles, two sacks, all around great player. Crosson - two sacks, caught a 35yard pass and scored touchdown (ran five yards).

The Bulldogs played Bells in Bells Saturday. After receiving the kickoff, on the second play from scrimmage, Garret Rodgers ran for a 50-yard touchdown. Extra point was fought for by Beaudy Kuykendall. Bells wasn't able to put anything together offensively thanks to Devin Wallace, Eli Stoner, and Zach Ganow. Bells punted and pinned Howe inside their own 20 yard line and was able to score off an interception return for a touchdown. Howe went into half up 7-6 and traded possessions back and forth until the end of the game.

Middle School Volleyball Howe 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams each played Van Alstyne last week. Unfortunately, Howe lost four games between the A and B teams in each age group. The 7B team lost to Van Alstyne in two sets, 12-25, 13-14. The 7A team lost to Van Alstyne in two sets, 7-25, 8-25.

The 8A team lost to Van Alstyne in three sets, 25-18, 14-25, 14-25. The 8B team lost to Van Alstyne in three sets, 13-25, 25-19, 25-18.
