Bulldogs drop games to Leonard and Bonham The Dogs came up short Tuesday night against Leonard but not because of a lack of effort from their senior point guard Elijah Campbell who finished with a team-leading 20 points and almost never left the floor in the effort. He scored the game's first points and Howe led for the first three minutes of the game until Leonard knocked down a 3-pointer with 4:30 left in the first which gave them a 6-5 lead. Howe never regained the lead from that moment forward. Howe trailed 15-12 after the first.

It was the second period when Leonard did most of their damage by going on a 21-9 run to stretch their lead to 36-21 to the half. As Campbell continued his scoring, and assist run by dishing to Devin Porter for a score and clipping at the lead, it was his sophomore brother Noah Campbell that hit a 3-pointer which pulled Howe within 10 at the 4:35 mark in the third which caused a Leonard timeout. Later, the senior Campbell would bring the score within eight with a free throw near the end of the third and Howe entered the fourth trailing, 51-43. Howe continued to fight in the fourth with Elijah Campbell scoring on a drive to the basket with 4:22 left in the game to cut Leonard's lead to 57-52 forcing another Leonard timeout. As time kept running off the clock, Campbell kept scoring to keep the Bulldogs within five, but with 1:33 remaining, Howe went into foul mode for desperation. The Tigers capitalized on their free throws to take the game, 67-56. Behind Elijah Campbell's 20 points was his brother Noah with 17. Other scorers were Porter (8), Caiden Harmon (4), Colton Thurman (4), and Cameron Lankford (3).
