Prelims underway for district track

Howe's Colton Thurman. Michelle Carney/Howe Enterprise. District prelims began last week with field events and a few running events. The incomplete results have the Lady Bulldogs in fifth place with 16 total points while the Bulldogs are in sixth place with 13 points.

Howe Youth Baseball to make improvements to Ferguson Field

Members of the Howe Youth Baseball board met on Saturday to discuss future projects and investments to make due to the recent influx of cash from the 12U pre-season baseball tournament that was held. The board decided to make investments in new nail drags and top drags so that each field would be equipped. Also, the group approved a purchase of

new line strings and a chalk dispenser. One of the biggest decisions the board made was to replace the backstop at Ferguson Field with a new concrete wall and netting similar to North Field at Bicentennial Park. Construction is to begin immediately following the season this summer.
