Mayor Stanley recommends city's continued relations with TCOG In Tuesday's city council meeting, Howe Mayor Jeff Stanley continued to update the council on an ongoing "matter" with TCOG and their Executive Director Susan Thomas. Last month, Stanly said that Howe's partnership with the organization would not have an affect ont the City of Howe's dayto-day operation. However, he said he met with TCOG officials

and stated that he still feels as if a severed relationship with TCOG wouldn't affect city business, although it would affect the citizens of Howe through the housing authorities and Section 8 items. Mayor Stanley then made the recommendation for Howe to remain partners with TCOG due to the best interests fo the citizens of Howe.

HHS Class of 1992 to hold 25year student and teacher reunion July 8 in downtown Howe Members of the Howe High School Class of 1992 announced over the weekend that they will hold a reunion on July 8 at 2 pm at the Howe Development Alliance in Downtown Howe. They are welcoming not only any former classmates that ever were along for the journey at any point, but also any teacher that ever taught the class. Early confirmations of teachers and coaches that will be on-hand are Joey and Vicki McQueen, Janie Finney, Bettye Mullins, and Donna Jarma with hopes of many more to attend.

Most likely to receive the "Furthest Traveled Award" will be Trong Lieu who currently lives in Pennsylvania and has scheduled a flight. There is a Facebook Event page set up as in hopes of no one being left out. This is not a reunion of graduates of the class; it is a reunion of classmates from any time from 1980-1992. Live music in Downtown Van Alstyne tomorrow

North Texas is home to the best in singers and wordsmiths, and when you get musicians are shine in both of those categories, you’ve got a big win. Big Joe Walker and Scott Sean White are two such troubadours. Walker & White are playing the June 27 June 27 Music in the Park concert in downtown Van Alstyne.

Contemporary Christian artist Gary Chapman has recorded three of White’s songs.

White goes back and forth to Nashville once or twice a month to write with many of the most talented writers and artists.

Music in the Park concert are free and produced by the Van Alstyne Chamber of Commerce. Call 903482-6066 for more information.

Scott Sean, too, is no stranger to Van Alstyne, having been a regular performer at El Patio Escondido for the past three years.

Both performers will have CDs available at the concert.
