Their project was a spoof on the popular young adult trilogies The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner and carried the title Dystopia! The Hunger Maze Game of Divergent Death. With its bizarre plot and senseless humor, it was an instant hit for the drama crew. The play starred foreign exchange student Cesar Blanco and a freshmen trio of Aubrey Friedman, Sheila Finney, and Grace Jones. Howe High’s very own Thomas Tipton and April Adams were large contributors to the production. Art teacher Tipton created many of the props and Adams directed the show.
