right motive by wanting to be a contributor to society and pay back student loans and own their own home or business but the means to gain it or sometimes self- centeredness. Young adults are anxious to make their mark of success in this world, to prove their capability to their family, friends, and teachers in this consumer driven world weight gain. If you read the Bible to be able to quote scripture, appear spiritual or advance yourself in your own way, it is a dangerous fast food diet You may gain what you searched for but it’s comes with an unhealthy spiritual price patience and urgent are yoked together

“You cannot be the slave of two masters! You will like one more than the other or be more loyal to one than the other You cannot serve both God and money,” Matthew 6:24
A young adult emerges from college to a consumer culture of wealth. There are two philosophies at war in this world. One is the Jesus way of sacrifice, submission, humility, and patience. It is the view where God is at the center and His disciples live for others. This view is that it is not about us, it is about pointing others to God When we live with this conviction the means in which we achieve it is important The other philosophy that dominates is the consumer culture It is a world view of consumption, assertiveness, speed, and fame In the consumer view it is all about me, me and me. In the Jesus way, Jesus becomes more in the consumer way, man becomes more
Sometimes a young adult will make hasty decisions on where to live and what to do with their new found freedom. They have enough education to give them confidence but enough inexperience to make them dangerous They may have the
“Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition, jealousy or pride, be humble and consider others more important than yourselves Care about them as much as you care about yourselves and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought,” Philippians 2:3-5 A Christian who has been living for the Lord for several years may still find themselves comparable to the young adult wanting the world as they want it…and quickly. You must keep reminding yourself to be like Jesus. Worship becomes about you, about your tastes, likes, and dislikes. Humility removes self from the center because the world and God’s plan is not in orbit around you Go back to your Bible and remember His character.
We are highly impulsive people We have been trained to expect everything we need or want quickly The internet meets our unquenchable appetite for high speed knowledge, goods and services and the culture is getting faster, and highly competitive. In our country we require fast internet and fast food on a daily basis. Spiritual fast food will destroy you. My friends know I’m somewhat of a health nut One boring rainy day I watched this documentary film called, “Super Size Me.” The story is about a young man who ate three meals a day for thirty days at McDonalds and gained thirty pounds Even though he thought he was choosing the healthier of the choices he suffered problems that were all associated with fast foods and
Spiritually immature Christians can have knowledge from the Bible but still not be allowing it to change their lives. Read the Bible to know who God is Read the Bible with the commitment to submit to His ways. I have read many books, but the Bible reads me! I see the difference in how I am and how I was and how God says I can be. As a immature Christian, I didn’t recognize how far from Christ like I really was. I read it as a text book, a novel and because I knew I was suppose to. The formation of your character into the character of Christ can’t be hurried but it’s urgent so it shouldn’t be delayed It’s a slow work and it all depends on how fast we submit to the authority of God and it gets very messy People fail, delay, make mistakes, resist, and are afraid to change. In America slow and urgent are not compatible, they cancel each other out. In God’s Kingdom,
“And Jesus said, ‘Everyone then who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it ’” Matthew 7:24-27. I pray you are growing steadily as you give your life to the authority of Jesus. From born again to being a young Christian may have taken a year or maybe you’ve been delaying that growth God wants you to know Him and who He is through the changes you allow Him to make in your life

They will explain what they want to do for the citizens if they win the election, changes or improvements they may make, and their vision of what can be realistically accomplished. The Steering Committee will also accept questions from the audience for the candidates to answer.
"We, the citizens of Grayson County, must elect those candidates who will serve us - not serve their own self-interests." said Kaaren Teuber of the Texoma Patriots "Primary elections are extremely important. Since there are no Democrat challengers, it is during this primary process that we select the candidates to fill these offices "
The race that may affect Howe the most is the outcome of County Commissioner, Precinct 1 The two candidates, Whitmire and Renfro, seem to have a large difference of opinion on the future of South Grayson County and the role of commissioner Renfro told the Herald Democrat last month that part of the county commissioner's job was to "keep growth coming in on the south end in check "
Whitmire, on the other hand told the Herald Democrat, "While I understand there are those who would like to build a wall at our south border and stay just like we are, that is not a realistic approach; growth will happen, we will be judged on how we handle it ”
Renfro says that the county commissioner’s job is about keeping county roads and bridges in good shape, along with drainage issues, whereas Whitmire says that the most significant job that the County Commissioner's office face is the financial management of all county government operations.
"As Grayson County has become a suburban, rather than rural based economy, so has the job of commissioner changed; the qualifications of this job are no longer only operating road equipment, but also about managing county operations ”
Joe Brown was elected to the District Attorney's Office back in 2000 in a race with Bob Jarvis that made national news when Jarvis' brother punched Brown in Downtown Sherman
