A man's quest for a ball field

Ray Bledsoe shows the first ball thrown at Ferguson Field in 1971 It will be 45 years old this July. The piece of dirt gifted to the city for the use of a park laid dormant by the railroad tracks. It was turned into a ball field for kids by a vision and labor of love by one man who couldn't stand the though of young boys not getting a chance to play baseball.
