Tryin' my best was a toad.
by Chris Campbell I love to run. I’m neither fast nor graceful, but it’s my escape – a time to think and reflect while being aerobically challenged. When our family lived in McKinney I loved running early in the morning. I would head out around 5:30 each morning on a four to six-mile jaunt through the concrete jungle. As the summer days pass the sun comes up later and later, and with a minimal number of street lights on the first phase of my run it's not always easy to see things that might be lurking in the shadows.
Now...I can't tell one toad from another...but I felt fairly confident this was the same toad I had met the previous day. This time, without stopping, I gave another toadfriendly greeting and continued on my way. Next morning...same time, same place...same toad! And every morning, for the next three months, I encountered the same toad at the same spot.
Summer End Jam in Denison Vendors are being sought and plans are being made, all getting ready for the first-ever Summer’s End Jam, Saturday, Aug. 15. Beginning around 5 p.m., the Summer End Jam is hosted by the Joshua’s Crossing Church of Denison, and to be held in its parking lot, 7201 FM 691, which is just west of the Grayson County College campus. Organizer Kris Hair said this will be a family-friendly, back-toschool night of fellowship and music.

And I thought about how bummed I would be if he wasn’t there.
One morning I saw what appeared to be a tennis ball-sized rock laying And I began to ponder in the middle of the sidewalk. I “consistency.” barely paid any attention to it until, as I began to step over it…”the What sort of consistency do I rock” jumped. Now I run with an provide?
