The
Foolhardy Family
Early one Tuesday morning three siblings decided to plan a trip to
Hawaii after watching a show explaining how there is golden rocks at the bottom of the “Occult Volcano” in Kauai, Hawaii. Kylie thought in her head that it would be a good idea to pack up and head out to Hawaii and try and find these golden rocks. Mason had just arrived home from a long weekend of basketball games and camp and has been sleeping in every since. While Mason is sleeping, Kylie and Jayda go grab some food and talk about planning a trip to Hawaii to find those golden rocks. While riding down the street they decided to go to The Purple Pig restaurant a few miles from their house. They decided to dine in so that they could focus on planning this trip instead of doing it at home with having to compete with Mason’s loud snoring. After 2 hours of eating and searching for hotels and flights, they finally decided on when they were leaving and decided the hotel they’ll be staying in Kauai. They pack their things and are ready to pay for their meals. Kylie froze and gasped. “No way I forgot it again,” said Kylie. “Forgot what, Kylie?” said Jayda. “Please don’t tell me I have to pay for you again for the second time.” “Yeah, see,I kind of forgot my credit card again,” Kylie said embarrassing.

Jayda then told the cashier irritated, “This will be on the same ticket.” They arrive home and Mason is awake. They then begin telling him about their trip to Hawaii that’s going to take place later on that week. After giving details, they begin to clean up the house and prepare for the but mason is too busy looking at his basketball highlights to even help the girls prepare for the trip. It’s now Thursday morning, and everyone is up except for Kylie. The plane takes off at 7:45 and it is now 7:15, and they haven’t even left the house, not to mention Midway airport is about a 20 minute drive from their house. Jayda didn’t even notice the time, she ran into her room pulling clothes out of the closet, shoes out of the boxes, jewelry off the dresser and underclothes from out of the basket. She runs pass Kylie’s room and sees that she hasn't even gotten out of bed yet. She then runs to the bathroom grab their toothbrushes run back to Kylie’s room and wakes Kylie up by forcing her toothbrush into her mouth, throwing jackets and gloves onto Kylie’s back and hands, pulling her clothes, shoes, makeup kit, wallet and her Hawaiian earrings. The Uber driver is about 58 years old. It is now about 7:30 and the plane takes off in a matter of minutes. They pack everything in the car and begin driving down the road. They arrived at the airport eight minutes after the plane took off. They hop out of the car grabbing their bags charing towards the front entrance. Kylie screams “Wait wait wait hold the plane we’re here we’re here!” Mason follows along and screams insolent “I missed basketball camp for this trip yall better hold that plane” Jayda screams in a fake cry “I just want the golden rocks, just the golden rocks”

They get stopped by security while running and screaming down the halls of the airport. “Calm down, are yall ok?” the security officer says to three teenagers running down the hall. “No sir we’re about to miss our flight,” said Mason. “May is ask what fight you’re about to miss?” said the security officer. “The 7:45 illinois to denver flight,” replied Kylie while gasping for air. The officer then laughed and said “That flight has a layover of 13 hours because of the snow you’re fine relax.” As they calmed down they noticed that the whole airport was staring at them. Some were laughing, some were whispering and the others just shook their heads. As time passes by they played games, got something to eat and took very long naps. The thirteen hours passed and it was time to load the plane. With them being the three loudest people in the airport no one told them that it was time to take flight because they simply didn’t want their loudness presents on the plane. Kylie woke up about thirty minutes after the plane left. She woke looked out the window and saw that the plane was gone. She began running toward the exit door by the window yelling. “Wait wait no no we’re still here,” kylie yelled sadly Mason wakes up looking disappointed while shaking his head. Jayda’s still sleeping. Kylie goes to the front desk, and try to get their tickets renewed. The lady asked at the front desk, “May I help you,”

Kylie replied “Yes, me and my family just missed our flight and we need to renew our flights please,” “Okay” replied the lady at the front desk, “I’ll just need your tickets,” Kylie reached in her purse and said overwhelmed “I forgot the tickets at home.” Jayda and Mason grabbed their bags and headed to the uber because they already knew that Kylie had forgotten something at home like always. They realized that they were kind of glad they didn’t go to Hawaii because Kylie would’ve probably left the golden rocks in Hawaii.
