You would not believe what happened on the day of September 27, 2011. Hazel and her two friends, Violet and Silas, were at school when a fight broke out . Hazel is the mean one of the group, so of course she had to put her nose in it. Violet tried to stop her because she is the innocent friend that solves all the problems. Silas is the one that always hypes her up because he is just as arrogant as she is. Most of the time Silas gets his way because he is the funny one . “Hazel”, ” I asked,“ in a loud voice, “ Why do you always get involved in this mess?” Violet said, ” You're acting out of character.” ̈Silas responded, ” You both are making me sick, arguing all the time”! The day went on and Hazel and Violet were still arguing. I wanted to really go tell them girls to be quiet. You can hear them from across the courtyard. So, later that day Hazel called a friend from their school and made rumors about Violet. That morning when Violet went to school, people were staring at her and laughing. She tried so hard not to cry but they were constantly laughing at her. She went to the bathroom to wipe her tears away from all the crying she was doing. Later that day she stopped Hazel and asked her, “Why are people laughing at me?” Hazel didn’t respond. Silas looked a little concerned. “Why do you look so upset Violet?”
She looked very angrily at Silas. “Why are you so concerned?” Silas said “I was just asking, no need for the attitude.” They haven't been talking for the past few days. Hazel felt really badly because of what she did to Violet through the rumors she made against her. She tried calling and texting her, but nothing would work. She knew that she would have to make it up to her. Hazel went by Violet’s house to explain to her why the other kids were looking at her and laughing and to apologize for the rumors she caused. Violet didn't want to talk to Hazel. She said she felt like she was being betrayed by her best friend. Although Violet had doubts about talking to Hazel, she thought about it and wondered if Hazel was going to really apologize for what she said about her. The next day Silas stopped Violet at school and gave her a hug. He asked her was she okay and she shook her head yes. He walked with her to her class and that's when they saw Hazel. Silas said hey to Hazel and gave her a hug. Violet stood standing just looking at Hazel with a smirk on her face. She wanted to smile but she kept it to herself. However, Violet still was stuck on the fact that she couldn't believe that her own best friend would go behind her back and talk about her. They all went into the classroom and sat down, and Violet finally opened up to Hazel. She let Hazel apologize, and she forgave her. She, Hazel, and
Silas all kept their friendship together. They made a promise that they wouldn't let anything small or big come between their friendship again.
