The Creature of the Fog by Jaidyn Morgan English IV, 2nd Period 10/16/19

A thick fog fell over the once prosperous town of Georgetown, now abandoned and decrepit. The wind howled through the empty town, creating a sense of despair. The only other sound that echoed through the streets was the chatter of children wandering through. Three sets of footsteps pitter pattered through the center of the main street, accompanied with the sounds of banter. The banter came from a trio of kids, two boys and one girl. The clothes on their backs had told that they were from middle class families. The boys named Jackson and Marty were brothers, the girl named Susan, was a neighbor and friend of the young boys. Both boys had brown hair and brown eyes, Marty was the smart and confident one, though dwarfed compared to his brother. Jackson was opposite of Marty, he was very timid and not very smart, while also being much larger than his brother. Susan was a blonde haired and blue eyed girl, who was the adventurous type.

“Man, this fog is too thick,” said Jackson. “How are we supposed to move through this at all,” cried Susan. Marty proposed “We’ll just have to wait this out”

As the trio waited for the fog to disperse in a nearby abandoned building, a low growl rumbled through the town, the sound of a starving beast. “What’s that!” cried Jackson in a frantic state “I don’t know” shouted Marty and Susan

“That sounded like a wolf,” said Marty As the children tried to assess the situation, another howl from the beast was heard, except it was closer. “We need to move,” Marty exclaimed The trio went out the back and ran down the street, the fog got much thicker, to the point of not being able to see a couple of feet ahead. Entering an old shop, the kids had realized that Jackson was missing.
