Slow Travel, Lift/Lower OK. No Fault Codes

Possible Cause Action

Truck configured for slow accelerationCheck truck configuration.

Battery problemsReplace battery with fully-charged good battery.

Binding drive wheel assembly/drive motor Jack and block truck. Disable brake.See “Mechanically Releasing the Brake” on page6-34. Check that drive wheel spins freely. If not, repair or replace.

Binding brake discCheck “Air Gap Adjustment” on page6-33

Bad drive motor (may test OK with no load, but fail under load) or worn brushes

Truck Does Not Accelerate Correctly

Repair or replace drive motor or brushes.

Possible Cause Action

Truck configured for slow accelerationCheck truck configuration.

Battery problemVerify a correct, fully-charged good battery (24V) is installed in truck.

Binding or mechanical problemJack and block truck. Turn Master Control ON/OFF switch ON. Check brake, wheel bearings and load wheels to see if there is a mechanical problem. Repair or replace.

Bad motor brushes or motorWith Master Control ON/OFF switch OFF and battery disconnected, check drive motor brushes and motor. See “Drive Motor Brush Inspection” on page6-35. Repair or replace.

Bad power amplifierIf all other possible causes check out, replace power amplifier.
