CHAPTER 10 PREPARING FOR FIELD OPERATION All Mixer Feeder models are “direct drive” machines which operate IMMEDIATELY after the PTO is engaged. Drive disengagement is strictly by shuttingoff the tractor PTO. For this reason, it is most important that “shock-loading” be avoided by making sure that the PTO is engaged at low tractor RPM. Shear Bolt overload protection is provided in either the PTO Drive

(MF7210, MF7435 and MF7500 models) or the Chain Case Coupling (MF7285 and MF7335 models). To facilitate proper operation and help prevent Shear Bolt failure, establish and maintain the proper Driveline alignment and tractor hookup.
