PRE–DELIVERY After the Mower Conditioner has been completely set–up, the following inspections MUST be made before delivering it to the Customer. Check off each item after prescribed action is taken.

Check that: parts of unit have been damaged in shipment. Check o NO for such things as dents and loose or missing parts; correct or replace components as required.
o All bolts and fasteners are in place and tightly secured. Hoses and Fittings are NOT damaged, leaking o Cylinders, or loosely connected. Grease Fittings have been properly lubricated and the o All Gearbox is filled to the proper level; see Lubrication chapter of this manual.
All Guards, Shields and Decals are in place and securely attached. The Header Flotation, Roll Gap and Reel Position are properly set and all other adjustments have been made to comply with the settings given in the Adjustments chapter of this manual. Tires are properly mounted and inflated to 18 PSIG (126 kPa) on left side and 36 PSIG (252 kPa) on the right side. Model and serial numbers for your unit are recorded in space provided on this page and page 2. Hook the unit up to a 540 RPM tractor and test–run it while checking that proper operation is exhibited by all components. Check that:
o The Rotating PTO Drive Line Shields turn freely. Drive Chains, Belts and Mechanisms are operating o All smoothly and properly adjusted. Reel and Conditioning Rollers turn freely and the o The Tines are NOT striking the Sickle or Conditioning Rollers.

DELIVERY The following Checklist is an important reminder of valuable information that MUST be passed on to the Customer at the time the unit is delivered. Check off each item as you explain it to the Customer. the Customer his Operator’s Manual. Instruct him to o Give be sure to read and completely understand its contents BEFORE operating unit. him on how to use the Index of this manual as a o Direct quick page number locating guide. and review with him the SAFETY chapter of this o Explain manual. the function and use of the Transport Locks for o Explain the Header Lift and optional Hydraulic Drawbar Positioner. and review with him the Controls & Safety o Explain Equipment chapter of this manual. that regular lubrication is required for continued o Explain proper operation and long life. Review with him the Lubrication chapter of this manual. the importance of maintaining Conditioner Roll o Explain gap at 1/16″ (1.6mm) or greater. It is most important to NOT run the unit with the Conditioner Rolls touching each other. Review with him the Conditioner Roll Gap adjustment and that it is his responsibility to maintain proper clearance between the conditioner Rolls. Damage to the unit linked to improper Conditioner Roll gap may result in a non–warranted situation. and review with him the Service chapter of this o Explain manual. fill out the Owner’s Registration, including o Completely Customer’s signature, and return it to the Company.
