4. Running-in period
2. Running-in services Running-in service is to be carried out after operating the dump truck the first 8, 100 and 500 hours. These services are most important for running in a new dump truck. This is the owner’s responsibility.

First 8 hours: 1. Wheel nuts. • Torque setting:
Check tightening of nuts. 450 Nm. Spanner: 30 mm (from serial no. 513001 and up to 513079) Spanner: 32 mm (from serial no. 513080 and up)
2. Lubricating.
Grease all lubricating points.
3. Battery:
Checking electrolyte level in the batteries, see 40 hours/weekly service, item 1.1 Checking battery charge, see 1000 hours service, item 2.3
4. V-belt:
Checking V-belts condition, see 500 hours service, item 1.4
5. Carry on with the normal 8 hours service, listed in chapter 7, maintenance. Since these points are important for the dump truck to work satisfactorily right from the start they are also listed below.
