19. Engine bonnet Do not open the bonnet when the engine is running. The bonnet must always be closed and secured with the locks when operating the dump truck. When the bonnet is open, make sure that the bonnet catcher for open position (on right hand side) secures the bonnet from falling down. • To open the bonnet: 1. Release the locks at both sides. 2. Push up the bonnet 3. Check that the bonnet catcher engages. • To close the bonnet: 1. Lift the bonnet catcher. 2. Push the bonnet down. 3. Apply the locks on both sides.
DANGER It is hazardous to work/stand underneath the bonnet without applying the bonnet catcher! Do not operate the dump truck with a raised and secured bonnet!
