39 11.4.2 Lock / unlock the steering axle
Proceed as follows to lock the steering axle: • Drive forwards for a short distance with the tractor until the wheels of the steering axle point straight ahead. Actuate the “Soft Key”
– in order to lock the steering axle. Symbol appears in the data field. Actuate the “Soft Key” again
– in order to unlock the steering axle. Symbol appears in the data field. (Fig. 38, 39)
Note!
On certain terminals, especially on ISOBUS capable tractors the steering axle is automatically locked under certain circumstances. The steering axle cannot then be unlocked by the “Soft Key” . E.g. CLAAS XERION: at forward speeds above 15 km/h or when driving in reverse.
