Knife drum V 12: 1st speed from 4 to 10 mm 2nd speed from 8 to 18 mm Knife drum V 10: 1st speed from 5 to 12 mm 2nd speed from 10 to 22 mm The chopping length doubles with half the knife speed.

Adjusting the serrated strips 32
If the intake auger cannot pull in the crop because of extreme crop conditions (such as very short, dry maize, heavy undergrowth, wet crop conditions), the serrated strips (32) can be adjusted by sliding them into the slots (34). Proceed as follows:

• Loosen screws (33). • Slide the serrated strips (32) in the slots (34) to the desired position.
• Fasten with screws (33). 13

The knives can be adjusted outward in heavy undergrowth conditions where blockage is a problem. Proceed as follows:

• Loosen truss-head screws (35). • Pull knives (36) outwards. • Retighten truss-head screws (35).
