PERIODIC NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF LOAD BEARING STRUCTURES There are a number of key structural joints that should be examined via non-destructive testing on a recurrent basis. Ensuring that the welded joints and structures are free from cracks, defects and deformation will enable safe and efficient machine operation. Care and Maintenance Daily: Visually inspect the areas identified in the figure below.
