Machine Operation & Shutdown DCS Shutdown Modes The Bucyrus Diesel Control system Consists of 10 Shutdown Modes in a wet configuration.
Engine Oil Pressure Engine Coolant Level Engine Coolant Temperature Exhaust Outlet Temperature Turbo surface Temperature Exhaust scrubber Temperature Scrubber Water Level 1 Scrubber Water Level 2 Low Fire Suppression Pressure Hi Methane Starting Machine Turn on Start/Reset air pressure switch ( Toggle switch) This will activate the DCS electronics The lights on the display will light up for about five seconds ( This serves to test lights and circuitry ) Any parameters that do not allow safe operation will be indicated Wait for the methane monitor to read ( approximately 15 secs ) The methane monitor needs about 15 seconds to measure the content in the surrounding air When the waiting time is up the solenoid will power up. The machine can now be started
Start Engine Activate the operators start button and start engine The machine is now ready to be operated Start / Reset valve - Toggle Switch
