EXHAUST PARTICULATE FILTER The filter housing is installed on the outgoing side of the exhaust conditioner and contains a replaceable filter element.
Exhaust Particulate Filter Housing
The filter element housing has a backpressure indicator which signifies filter blockage this is located in the operator’s compartment. The indicator should be checked daily or every 10 service hours.
Exhaust Back Pressure Gauge
WARNING If the particulate filter usage or engine smoke emissions are excessive the engine will require servicing. To check the particulate filter indicator: 1) Locate the gauge in the operator’s compartment. 2) Run the engine at high idle and observe the indicator position. 3) If the indicator is in the red zone the filter requires replacement.
