FRONT AXLE - DISASSEMBLY, SERVICE AND ASSEMBLY

6.4 FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS

1. Stand the front differential system and remove the ball bearing (1) using a bearing puller.

2. Unscrew the front differential case mounting bolts (1) to separate the front differential case (2) and differential case cover (3).

• Mounting bolt tightening torque ......... 39.2 ~ 55.9 N•m

4.0 ~ 5.7 kgf-m 28.9 ~ 41.2 ft-lb

3. Tap the pin (1) of the front differential case to remove it. Then, remove the differential pinion shaft (2), differential pinion (3), differential pinion washer (4), differential side gear (5), and shim (6) from the case.
