6.2.1. REAR DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM COMPONENTS DISASSEMBLY

8. Remove the rear differential assembly.

1. Remove the taper roller bearing (1) and the differential lock shifter (2).

2. With the differential case placed upside down, remove the taper roller bearing.

3. Remove the spiral bevel gear (3) by unscrewing the bolt with captive washer. Also, remove the differential system case cap (4) by unscrewing the bolt with captive washer.

4. Remove each pinion washer (6) and differential pinion shaft 2 (5) by tapping the center junction point with a punch gently. Then, remove the differential pinion shaft 1 (7) and the pinion washer (8).

5. Remove the differential pinion (9) and side gear (10).
