MIDDLE SCHOOL

ur seventh and eighth graders are becoming more independent and learning to think on their own as they prepare for high school. At Heritage Christian, we teach, mentor, and train our middle school students to lead, serve, and further understand their role in God’s kingdom.

MENTOR
All students take a Bible course to study and understand the Bible and its principles more deeply. Seventh grade studies the New Testament and eighth grade studies the Old Testament.
Middle school teachers are Christ-followers and they make it their mission to share the Gospel with their students, both in and out of the classroom. Teachers challenge their students to read their Bibles, apply its principles, and seek to know Christ.
During weekly chapels, students pray, sing worship songs led by a student-led praise team, and hear about God from their teachers, local pastors, alumni, and peers. One week each semester, students have chapel or small group every day. They also go out in the community for service days. In the Fall 2018 semester, seventh graders went to Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources to paint and clean the facilities; eighth graders went to Gleaners Food Bank to help sort donated food.

SPRING 2019 HERITAGE MESSENGER
Every middle school student is placed in a small group with seven or eight peers and a Heritage staff member. They meet together throughout the school year to study the Bible, encourage one another, and learn to live in community with other believers. The middle school is equipped with a full-time discipleship staff member who is available to meet with students, walk through difficult times with them, and challenge them in their walks with Christ.
