Teach. Mentor. Train.
In 2015, the Heritage administration created a discipleship model, “Teach. Mentor. Train.” to better define and enhance the culture of discipleship and guide the faculty and staff in understanding how to disciple students holistically. We know the Gospel permeates all areas of life, so we believe that discipleship can be accomplished through many avenues.
TEACH
Heritage Christian believes in the importance of knowing Scripture, so we are intentional about teaching our students the facts of the Bible, core doctrines, and principles of Christian living. We do this through Bible classes, chapels, and through teaching biblical principles in all school subjects.
MENTOR
All Heritage teachers, coaches, and staff are Christians who value educating students in academics, helping students grow in their faith, and developing students into Christ-following servant leaders. We demonstrate character and leadership by modeling a Christian lifestyle.
TRAIN
We train our students in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in all extracurricular activities to become servant leaders and to know how to articulate the Gospel.
