JOSEPH ADAM MITSCHER, 48, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Joseph was born September 20, 1973 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Ronald and Joann Mitscher. Joe was a forklift operator at Aurora Parts & Accessories in Lebanon, Indiana. Joe is survived by his children: Devan, Kayla, Lindsay and Cole Mitscher, sister: Rhonda Johnson, brother: Dan (Kathleen) Mitscher and a grandson: Logan Macomber. He is preceded in death by his mother: Joann “Adamson” Mitscher. Funeral services for Joe will be held on Friday, November 12, 2 p.m. at Family Funeral Care with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. Joe will be laid to rest in West Ridge Park Cemetery, 9295 W 21st St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234. DONALD WAYNE GREGORY, 66, of Brownsburg, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the son of Margaret Jane Gregory and James V. Gregory. Don so loved his family and his many long-time friends. He enjoyed a great 32year career at American Trans Air (ATA), where his co-workers were like a second family. He worked at IUPUI for the last 12 years and recently retired from the IU School of Medicine as a Facilities Operation Manager. Don and Pattie celebrated 29 years of marriage in October. Don loved riding Harleys, IndyCar racing, fishing, shooting pool and traveling. His greatest joy was getting to see his two grandsons, Logan and Beau. He is survived by his loving-wife, Pattie Gregory, daughters Angela Gregory (Jennifer Scott) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Amanda Gregory (Jason Chrapek) of Avon, grandsons Logan and Beau Chrapek, step-daughter Kaleigh Scott, brother Mark (Lynette) Gregory, sister Rhonda Pickett, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Calling will take place on Thursday November 11, 2021 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Conkle Funeral Home in Speedway. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Family would like to acknowledge IU Simon Cancer Center and Life’s Journey Hospice and all the individuals who played a role in his care. GERRY VANCE SMITH, 75, passed peacefully on October 24, 2021 and DARLENE SUE SMITH, 74, passed peacefully on November 1, 2021, both of Brownsburg. They are survived by their three sons and seven grand children. Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway where a memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the Memorial Service for Gerry and Darlene. JONES, age 80, formerly Greencastle and Coatesville, passed away November 8, 2021, at Wellbrooke of Avon. He was born in Coatesville, Indiana on October 1, 1941 the son of Wilbur E. Jones and Frances Wallace Jones. He worked for IBM for 28 years and then WalMart 8 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Senior Citizens Center, and Sons of American Legion all at Greencastle. He loved playing Euchre and watching IU basketball. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by wife, Marcia Jones, Brownsburg; daughter, Jonna Hampton and husband, Doug, Avon; grandchildren, John Sears and wife, Ronni, Brownsburg, Jeffrey Hampton, Boardman, Ore., and Jamie Harrell and husband, Brad, Danville; great-granddaughter, Katherine Harrell; brother Joe Jones and wife, Susan, Coatesville; and several nieces and nephews. MARY LEE MORRISON, 87, formerly of Jamestown and Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at her home in Horn Lake, Miss. She was born on March 12, 1934 in Shelbyville, Ind., daughter of the late Robert and Ruth Barricklow. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1952. Mary was united in marriage to Melvin Gene Morrison on January 14, 1961; he preceded her in death on August 20, 2008. She owned and operated the Furniture Mart in Ladoga, with her late husband for many years until retiring in 2003. Mary lived with her daughter Penny and son-in-law Tony after the death of her husband. She was happiest at home with her family and providing companionship to Penny, Tony and their 4 dogs. Survivors include her daughter, Penny Keeler of Horn Lake, Mississippi; son, Stephen Morrison of Crawfordsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Aaron, Deanna, Renee and Josh; sister, Charlotte Hodges of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services took place Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown, Ind. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory of Jamestown entrusted with her arrangements. BARBARA ANN JOHN, 76, of Avon, passed away November 7, 2021. She was born August 18, 1945 to the late Robert C. and Patricia (Reese) Bailey in Indianapolis. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Ball State University and went on to receive her degree as a Specialist in Education. Barb began her career in education as an art teacher. She enjoyed working with special needs children at Wilson Middle School in Muncie. Barb went on to become a school psychologist and practiced for twenty years. She also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children. Barb loved all things Fall; buying pumpkins and bittersweet brought her joy. It was fitting that she left us on a beautiful Autumn night. She took great pleasure in decorating for the holidays and spending time with friends and family. She also loved nature and traveling; Brown County State Park, Indiana and Platte Lake, Michigan were a few of her favorite destinations. She would often travel by car so that she could meander and explore the area. Barb was very creative and shared her talent with others by making them homemade cards, painted rocks, and decor. She didn’t always play by the rules and encouraged others to do the same. Her family would like to give a special thanks to Northwest Healthcare Center’s staff for their kind and compassionate care. Barb is survived by her son, David M. (Rachael) John; a daughter, Shelby K. (Allan) John Enderwitz; a granddaughter, Silvia John; and her special friend, her dog, Bella. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. A private inurnment was held at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Ill..
