Nuevo golpe al narcotráfico en aguas del Estrecho

La Guardia Civil incautó a finales de agosto de 2.850 kilos de hachís y detuvo a cuatro personas en una actuación llevada a cabo en las inmediaciones del puerto de Sotogrande. El Instituto Armado informó que la intervención se llevó a cabo cuando el Servicio Integrado de Vigilancia Exterior (SIVE) de Málaga y Algeciras detectó una embarcación en mar abierto que navegaba hacia las cercanías del puerto
de Sotogrante. La patrullera del Servicio Marítimo en la zona se dirigió al lugar, aunque no detectó el barco, por lo que amplió la franja de búsqueda ante la sospecha de que transportase droga y de que pudiera estar aprovechando la niebla existente para camuflarse. Finalmente fue interceptada a unos 12 kilómetros del puerto de Sotogrande, tras lo cual los agentes procedieron al abordaje y vieron varios bultos con hachís
esparcidos en el suelo. Una vez trasladada la embarcación al puerto, su inspección reveló que transportaba 108 fardos de hachís, con un peso total de 2.850 kilos, repartidos en diversos habitáculos. Los cuatro tripulantes P.V.C., I.J.N., C.F.D. y J.M., de nacionalidades española, inglesa, francesa y marroquí, respectivamente, fueron detenidos como presuntos autores de un delito contra la salud pública. they intervened when the Integrated External Surveillance Service (SIVE) for Malaga and Algeciras spotted a vessel on the open sea sailing towards an area near Sotogrande’s harbour.
The local Maritime Service’s patrol boat headed to the site but failed to locate the vessel, so they widened the search zone, suspecting that the craft transported drugs and could be using
the fog to conceal itself. Finally it was intercepted around twelve kilometres from Sotogrande Marina, following which the officers boarded the vessel and found several packages of cannabis spread over the floor. Once the vessel had been taken to the harbour, it was inspected to reveal that it held 108
bundles of cannabis with a total weight of 2,850 kilos, distributed between various cabins. The four crew members with the initials P.V.C, I.J.N, C.F.D. and J.M, of Spanish, English, French and Moroccan nationalities respectively, were arrested as presumed perpetrators of a crime against public health.

Sin embargo, ahora se intenta dilucidar si las lesiones con las que cuenta el joven algecireño fueron provocadas por la paliza
de los dos jóvenes madrileños implucados en el suceso, los cuales habitualmente veranean en Sotogrande, o fueron provocadas tras la caída de éste último por un muro a una altura considerable. El joven agredido se encuentra fuera de peligro y la Guardia Civil sigue investigando lo sucedido para esclarecer los hechos ocurrridos tras esta fiesta.

are regular holidaymakers in Sotogrande, or whether they were caused by the youngster’s fall from a high wall. The victim of the attack is in a stable condition and the Guardia Civil are continuing to investigate the incident to find out what happened after the party.
