utoRevista.- ¿Cómo se plantea la novena edición Advanced Factories en un contexto europeo actual que busca nuevas formas de competitividad frente al empuje de Asia, especialmente de China, y la presión que empieza a llegar desde Estados Unidos? Víctor Blanc.- Si bien es cierto que los países que están liderando la inversión en I+D e innovación son China y Estados Unidos, Europa se ha dado cuenta de que debe apostar por la autonomía industrial y mejorar la competitividad del sector. En este sentido, necesitamos más investigación, ampliar la fabricación de semiconductores y sobre todo de microchips. Pero también hacer más eficientes y productivas nuestras fábricas, sin perder de vista la descarbonización de las mismas, y en todo ello la automatización y la robótica industrial juegan un papel determinante. Advanced Factories es la mayor feria para el sector industrial en España y un instrumento para mejorar la productividad a través de soluciones en automatización, robotización, Inte-

utoRevista.- How does the ninth edition of Advanced Factories fit in with the current European context, which is looking for new forms of competitiveness in the face of the push from Asia, especially China, and the pressure that is starting to come from the United States? Víctor Blanc.- While it is true that the countries that are leading investment in R&D and innovation are China and the United States, Europe has realised that it must commit to industrial autonomy and improve the competitiveness of the sector. In this sense, we need more research, more semiconductor and especially microchip manufacturing. But we also need to make our factories more efficient and productive, without losing sight of their decarbonisation, and automation and industrial robotics play a decisive role in all of this.
