The fish & chip shop is a favourite on a Friday night and there is a village hall and a fete held every year on the high street.”

Bourne is only a couple of miles away and boasts the co-ed state grammar school rated Outstanding by Ofsted. There are also state grammar schools in Spalding (the Grammar for boys rated Good and the High for Girls rated Outstanding). “Bourne has some lovely cafés and independent shops along with a great M&S, outdoor swimming pool/lido and a lovely Christmas and summer fair,” she continues. “We also love the Golding Young & Mawer auction rooms where you can snap up some great finds.

“Stamford and Lincoln are both on the doorstep, and we visit them often. We love to take a trip out to the coast - the beautiful beaches of Skegness are just over an hour’s drive away - and closer to home we love cycling and walking our dog in Bourne Woods.” Stamford and Lincoln both have excellent independent schools – the Stamford Endowed Schools and the Lincoln Minster Schools.

“We have been and still are very happy here in The Old Farmhouse but both our children are now young adults and at university and planning on travelling, so the house is just too big for us now. We feel it really needs a new family to fully appreciate all it has to offer… it is a haven of bliss, a pure paradise in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside … you can’t help but fall in love with this property… we did on our first viewing and were so lucky to get to own it!” she concludes.
