Ketton itself has two pubs, a playground, and a village store and post office, but the surrounding area with all its beautiful Rutland towns and villages is truly fabulous to explore, and Rutland Water, where there are sports and leisure activities both on the lake and on dry land, is about a five minute drive west, and the glorious, historic town of Stamford with a wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants including the famous George Hotel, is not much further to the northeast.

The cottage has WiFi connected and space for study off the living room. Outside, to the east, a paved area at the front behind a wall overlooking the churchyard provides plenty of room for a table for alfresco dining or just relaxing with a drink. From the back door in the kitchen there is another very secluded little area, gravel underfoot, also with space for sitting outside.

Fixtures and fittings are included in the sale of the property and much of the furniture may be available under separate negotiation. “There is free on-street parking, either up Chapel Lane or on Church Road – it’s really easy to find a parking space,” assures the owner. “It’s such a lovely place to live that we moved to Ketton ourselves.
