Burn off the fuel and stop for a traditional lunch at StaromestskĂĄ restaurace, famous for its classic, home-style Czech cuisine with excellent options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Located just off Old Town Square (where stopping by the beautiful astronomical clock, on the hour, is a must), this place is pretty easy to find and offers a good taste of local fare at a decent price.

After exploring the many places within Prague Castle, including the stunning, Romanesque St. George’s Basilica and the famous Golden Lane, an ancient street of 11 historic houses now selling one-of-a-kind keepsakes, head down the hill via the cobbled steps at the exit and be sure to take a picture of the breathtaking terracotta SPPGUPQT BOE DJUZ WJFXT PO UIF XBZ

A five-minute walk down from Old Town Square, you’ll find Wenceslas Square market - a long row of sideto-side and back-to-back stalls selling Czech trinkets, vintage gifts, local chocolate and little knick knacks. This place is considerably cheaper than the shops in Old Town, so wait to do your present-picking from here.

12:00 PM Stop for a local treat of Rotatoes (an ultimate frisbee-style stack of potates) or Trdelník (a sweet pastry of rolled dough wrapped around a stick, then grilled and topped with sugar and walnut mix). Eat while you casually walk towards Lesser Town, a beautiful Baroque quarter clustered around the foot of the castle. 1:00 PM From Lesser Town, start making your way across the famous stone-Gothic Charles Bridge towards Old Town. Bustling with Czech artists, musicians, and souvenir vendors, stop for a

On the way, stop by some of the city’s most beautiful buildings like Nårodní Muzeum and the Municipal House, a civic building that houses Smetana Hall, a celebrated concert venue.
