xpoinCittà, the calendar of events in the Milan metropolitan area organized by the Municipality of Milan and Milan Chamber of Commerce, is now looking beyond Expo 2015 becoming a permanent and unique initiative of territorial marketing.
The great participation of citizens and tourists proves the quality and broad variety of initiatives, realised thanks to the extraordinary productive effort of all the promoters. ExpoinCittà still has much to offer to the Greater Milan public: from outdoor concerts to shows in theatres, from art exhibitions to scientific events, as well as sports competitions and activities for the kids. Milano Loves You Run è una manifestazione podistica non competitiva con l'obiettivo di raccogliere fondi a supporto delle Case Alloggio di LILT (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori). La corsa nasce dalla collaborazione con il magazine Where Milan e l’associazione Podisti da Marte. Milano Loves You Run is a foot race event targeted at raising funds to support LILT’s (Italian Association to Fight against Cancer) projects, and it has born from the collaboration between Where Milan magazine and the association Podisti da Marte.

Le sue fotografie, realizzate dagli anni Sessanta ai Duemila, testimoniano uno sguardo attento e partecipe al nostro tempo e ai mutamenti della società. “Poesia del reale”, reality poetry, is the first major retrospective exhibition dedicated to the work of Toni Nicolini, the sensitive interpreter of Italian reality who passed away in 2012. His photographs, taken between the Sixties and the turn of the new millennium, show a careful and participating look onto our time and on the changes in society.

An exhibition dedicated to the collection of 800 works of art belonging to the photographer Duilio Zanni, who passed away recently. Zanni proposed his photo calls to the artists in exchange for an art piece. The unifying element is the geometric shape of the circle.

ARTE La mostra sottolinea le influenze di Rubens sugli artisti italiani più giovani, protagonisti del Barocco, come Pietro da Cortona, Bernini, Lanfranco e Luca Giordano, senza tralasciare nel contempo quelle esercitate sul pittore dall’arte antica e dalla pittura cinquecentesca. L’esposizione si concentra su confronti evidenti tra i dipinti di Rubens, di grandi pittori rinascimentali e di altri artisti barocchi. The exhibition emphasizes Rubens’ influence on younger Italian artists, as Pietro da Cortona, Bernini,Lanfranco and Luca Giordano, leading artists of Baroque. It focuses also on the influence exhercised on Rubens by ancient art and the XVI century paintings. Furthermore, some of Rubens’ paintings are compared with ancient sculptures, works by great Renaissance painters and other Baroque artists.
