What to see in De Wildt

Tutuwedzo is a 34ha game farm located in the De Wildt Area, 12 km from Hartbeespoort and Brits respectively, 56 km from Pretoria East and approximately the same distance from Rustenburg. Our accommodation comprises 10 beautifully equipped chalets, (each sleeps 2 guests) all with airconditionintg, bar fridge, bathtub, top quality towels and linen, toiletries, hairdryer, TV and a coffee station. Each chalet also has an outside shower which is usually a ‘favourite’ with our guests. Our chalets with the amenities offered compare favourably to any 4-star establishment. Beside the sparkling pool is a thatched lapa with built-in braai, bar area, TV, sound system, 4-plate gas stove, fridge/freezer, basin, tables/chairs and ablution. This area is ideal to accommodate a group of up to 30 guests and, should guests so require, we provide all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils required for self-catering at a fee.

Game such as Kudu, Njala, Springbok, Blesbuck, Impala, Water- buck and Blue wildebeest roam freely and is a sight to behold. Many species of birds have also made Tutuwedzo their home. Guests are welcome to cycle or drive on the farm to view the game or we can arrange a game drive on the ‘Tutuwedzo Express’, which is our faithful Tractor and ‘sleepwa’! When guests so require we often end the game drive with a ‘stop-over’ for a ‘gin-inda-bush’, and for the more adventurous and fun-loving folks, we arrange a ‘bokdrolspoeg’ competition!

When so required we provide the most delectable cuisine and pride ourselves on the fact that the quality of food we serve is of an extremely high standard. Although the chalets do not have self-catering facilities, the afore-mentioned lapa can very adequately cater to such a need for a group.
