Sonya Jackson Landrum
Silver Honoree Sonya Jackson Landrum was initiated into the Omicron Mu Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in Fall 1997. A native of Monroe, Louisiana, sh School, the home of the mighty, mighty Bulldogs. She received a bachelor’s Southern University A&M College, a Historically Black University in Baton R Business Management from Amberton University in Garland, TX.
As a member of the Omicron Mu Omega chapter, Ms. Landrum has served as Corresponding Secretary, Chair of the Technology committee, and served on several other committees. She is an active member of Concord Church in Dallas, TX and an active community volunteer. She has served as a youth mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Tarrant County and is currently the President of the Parent Teacher Association at her daughter’s elementary school. She has completed countless hours of volunteering and teaching her daughter the importance of giving back.

Ms. Landrum currently resides in Arlington, Texas. She is employed by the North Central Texas Council of Governments where she is a Program Manager over the Travel Demand Management and Transportation Safety Program Areas. The focus of her career has been traffic engineering and transportation planning. Ms. Landrum currently serves as President of the Red River Chapter of the Association for Commuter Transportation and was also the past Vice President. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Commuter Transportation and is a member of the Institute for Transportation Engineers.
Ms. Landrum has been married to Honey-Do Vincent Landrum for 11 years. They have one beautiful daughter together, Gamiya Simone, a fourth grader at Thelma Jones Elementary School. She has two bonus daughters, Jade, a graduating senior at Grambling State University and Amber, a Junior at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. God blessed Ms. Landrum with loving parents, Laverne and Steven Conley. Her mother is a Silver Honoree of Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in Grambling, Louisiana. She loves to spend time with her one sister, Michelle Jackson Olowu, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
