Stacy Bowers
Silver Honoree Stacy Bowers was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, In the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Now entering her 25th year as a member, Ms. Bowers has served on the Community Impact, Fundraising, and Membership committees. She has also served as President of the Legacy of Service Foundation, Southwest Suburban Area Coordinator, chairman for the Community Impact Committee and Fundraising Committee where she developed long-standing programs, many of which are still utilized today.

In 2011, Ms. Bowers led the organization of the annual girl’s leadership summit known as Empowering Girls to Run the World on behalf of Omicron Mu Omega in partnership with Texas Instruments and metroplex chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
In 2013, Ms. Bowers founded Cocktails for A Cure to help raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer in the African American community. The event also recognized courageous survivors who overcame their personal battles with cancer.
In 2014, Ms. Bowers developed an annual wellness event known as the Healthy, Wealthy, Wise Community Fair to address the needs of families in underserved communities ranging from health, wellness, and financial literacy.
In 2017, Ms. Bowers led fundraising initiatives to create the Evelyn Foster Hamilton Endowment. The endowment was successfully capitalized in the amount of $24,000.
In 2018, Ms. Bowers chaired the Image Award celebration benefiting the Legacy of Service Foundation with the theme of Celebrating a Legacy of Women and Service which featured keynote speaker Matrice Ellis-Kirk, and honored Texas House of Representative Helen Giddings, community activist Edna Pemberton, and Minnie’s Food Pantry CEO/Founder Cheryl Jackson.
In addition to her years of commitment to her sorority, Ms. Bowers is currently the Managing Director, SVP of Community Affairs for Simmons Bank, Texas market. She is responsible for the Bank’s execution of the Community Reinvestment Act strategy for lending and investing in underserved communities and minority neighborhoods. Ms. Bowers serves as the Chief Grant Officer, managing the bank’s philanthropic initiatives, charitable contributions, and community engagement.
Ms. Bowers is also the co-founder of Pearl & Ivy and Ace & Deuce; two custom and handmade couture Greek apparel brands. In partnership with her identical twin sister Stephanie, Pearl & Ivy and Ace & Deuce are wellknown for their quality products that are easily identified by their signature pearl embellishments as the companies have grown to successfully acquire customers worldwide.
In recognition of her philanthropy and commitment to serving the community Ms. Bowers has received several distinguished honors including but not limited to being recognized as a 40 Under 40 Business Leader in both Dallas and Fort Worth, a Sum & Substance Leader by Conscious Magazine, Who’s Who Leadership Honoree, a Minority Business Leader by the Fort Worth Business Press, and a Women in Business Awardee by the Dallas Business Journal.
