1. You are a legend in Gospel Music when did you come into your gift? Wow, Thank you! I actually started singing in high school. Before then, I didn't know that I could sing. My older sister told me that she had a dream and God told her that I would be a singer. I was 12 years old when she told me the dream. I laughed however, a year later, I started singing in the freshman high school choir and the music teacher started asking me to lead songs and star in musicals and from there my dad, Albert Tichenor, our Pastor, asked me to sing in church. From there, I started singing in churches in the Indianapolis area with a choir I created called, Sounds of Deliverance. Tyscot Records got wind of us and signed me to a solo record deal. I ended up being the first female artist on Tyscot Records. I was only 18 at the time.
2. How has Covid changed the music industry?
Covid definitely was a game changer for the music industry. It forced everyone to become more creative and innovative their approach to their audiences including churches. Many started utilize social media platforms more often and become more astute with marketing and even producing revenue through the social media platforms.
3. How has the gospel music industry changed overall?
The gospel music industry has changed quite a bit. As you can probably see,
most artist are back on the road and not depending on cd sells or even digital sells because the do not equate to the revenue that they were used to. However, the in-person venues in many cases, cannot offer the same pay due to their endeavors to recover from the covid onslaught.
4. Digital Marketing and Social Media is here to stay. How have you adapted to this new way of promoting music? Very true. I have tried to remain open to new marketing ideas and new approaches to an open and changing market.
5. Is a great voice still required to make it in gospel music or do you need more?

A good voice is still required in my opinion. Audiences still need to enjoy and receive what they are hearing. It is one thing to mask a voice on a record but in the gospel industry, you had better show up with what is airing on the record or better!
6. Should an artist seek out a Label or go independent and why?
This is totally up to the artist and what they are looking to achieve. Each artist has their own set of goals. Some artists may desire the backing of label and not look for recouping revenue right away whereas other artists may desire to remain independent because they have a solid plan in place for recoupment.
7. Are Groups doing better in the gospel music industry or solo acts and why?
It appears that groups are on the rise
again and that is awesome however, solo artists are still gonna have a top tier spot in any music genre, in my opinion.
8. RevNation is the company you founded. What is it all about?
I have been in the music industry for almost 40 years as a both signed and unsigned artist. I paid attention. Made a lot of mistakes and then learned from them. RevNation was founded to help Independent Artists discover their sound and build out real, practical and reachable goals and then we help them execute those goals. It's absolutely amazing to be called to do what we do at RevNation.

9. Upcoming events you are doing? We are ALWAYS busy. lol We he theatre productions going on and pushing our artists events. We will be in Atlanta, Ga. on 7/1 with our Motown show and then in Fountain, Inn, SC with our Motown Show on 9/16. We are few surprises that we are also working on for 2024!
10. How can a person interested in working with you contact you? www.revnationmusic.com or via email-revnation2001@gmail.com or 803-570-2675.

generally recommended. High credit utilization can negatively impact your credit score.
4. Maintain a long credit history: The length of your credit history matters. As you build credit, try to keep your oldest credit accounts open, even if you’re not actively using them. This shows a longer credit history, which can be beneficial for your credit score.
5. Diversify your credit mix: Having a mix of different types of credit can be beneficial. For example, in addition to a credit card, you may consider having an installment loan or a car loan. This diversification can demonstrate your ability to handle different types of credit responsibly.
6. Monitor your credit report: Regularly review your credit report to ensure there are no errors or fraudulent activities. You can obtain a free copy of your credit report from each of the major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) once a year at AnnualCreditReport.com.
7. Build a positive financial track record: Building credit goes hand in hand with responsible financial management. Pay your bills on time, manage your debts, and avoid overextending yourself financially. A solid financial track record supports your credit-building efforts.

woman?
By Evangelist Brenda Moss Host of Becoming Necessary www.necessarycoaching.com
When you look at this picture, what story does it tell us about the woman? What we do know is this, she is looking forward to what’s to come because we can’t see her face. So the things that are behind her don’t matter. If she gets tired on her journey there are several places to rest. Where she is headed is beautiful. Look at the color of the trees and the path that she is on.
We know that she is a woman that takes pride in herself. She is very well put together. She could be headed to the board room or she could be headed to a business lunch. Maybe it’s her “Take care of Yourself Day” and she is meeting some friends for lunch. Wherever she is going and whomever she is meeting she walks with her head up !

We also know that wherever she is going there is nothing in her way to stop her. Her path is clear. If you look close enough you can see that her current circumstances are changing. The trees on the right don’t have as many leaves as the ones on the left. The left side speaks of rest and fullness. The right side speaks to change and having to stand in some things. Those times were probably some of the hardest times of her life. Maybe she felt like there was no one she could lean on. Even in those hard times there was still life. The one green tree gave her hope of better.
Again we still don’t know where she is going. We do know that she decided to step out. How do I know? Her left foot is
up. We walk by Faith Not By Sight. If you feel like you don’t know where you are going remember this, He knows the plans that He has for you, they are good plans with an expected end. I dare you to step out & don’t look back. What’s ahead of you is so much better than what’s behind you. Why ? Because I'm Very Necessary!

Black Males, Lean Into It !
By Stephanie Jackson, M.Ed., M.A. (AKA Queen Savannah Sonshine) Host of The Power of Legacy
www.KOJI.TO/H.O.P.E_ETERNALLY_LLC
According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, “The death rate from suicide for black or African American men was four times greater than for African American women, in 2018.” We are here to help you heal so YOU can be here for YOU.
My black and brown brothas, can you count the number of times you’ve been asked, “How you doing?” and replied with “straight, fine, cool, good, aight or any other adjective that indicates feeling better than low-average? Are you aware that it’s more than okay to specifically identify how you REALLY feel? Did you know that it is also possible to normalize responding with a positive affirmation, reflection of great, awesome, phenomenal, blessed, fantastic, terrific, or an adjective that will speak life into your situation? Well, it is and you DESERVE to hear it and KNOW it.
Give yourself permission to feel whatever it is you are feeling...WITHOUT judgement. Lean into it (your feelings) to determine why you’re feeling what you are feeling. Because, knowing is half of the battle. Once you know how you feel, one can determine what you need, and how you can
change the way you’re feeling. Even if you’re feeling sadness, hopelessness, worthlessness, and depression, you still have some power within. Who do you know that could support you, (knowing that seeking support is acceptable)? The Minority Mental Health Project is here to support and empower you! There are different professionals that specialize in different forms and approaches to therapy that can help you reclaim your power ....you just have to be willing to “lean into the journey”.
Knowing what you’ve experienced in life, only you can decide when you’re ready to do the work to live the life you deserve to live with the power you have in this moment. Because your life matters and you are worthy!

I recently visited Louisville, KY’s Speed Art Museum and their Promise, Witness, Remembrance exhibit. The exhibit challenged visitors to recall promises our country made to its citizens. But, I want you to recall the promises you’ve made to yourself. Visitors were also challenged to define what it means to be a witness and recall what they had witnessed in the past year. I want you to recall how you’ve been a witness to how you’ve shown up for yourself this past year. Lastly, visitors were encouraged to remember and honor the people and events in their lives that they don’t want to forget. I want to encourage you to remember to honor yourself, the life you’ve been given, the legacy you desire to leave and the people waiting on you to lean into your feelings to heal, feel your value and LIVE.
Don’t forget how wonderful you are! Lean into it!

My First Year Overseas
By Travis W Reed Host of Athletes Journey travisreed375@yahoo.com
Welcome back to part two of my First Year Overseas. My first year it was crazy ! Let’s start off where we left off ! Now if you remember I was on the plane from Warsaw , Poland back to California. I received an emergency phone call to get me off the plane and I am scared that I did something wrong. I take the phone call and it was my agent saying I

have another job for you in France. So I get my things off of the plane and go to the gate on the flight to France.
I check my bags and they say my bags are to heavy to go to France without paying extra money. Now at the time I didn’t have any money because the team from Poland did not pay me. So I was told by my agent dont worry the team in France will get your bag just take your tennis shoes and get on the flight. So I left my bag with my clothes pictures of my family and a ton of stuff at the airport in Poland and went to France with the clothes on my back my Playstation and the shoes on my feet. I get to France & they gave me a car so I was happy about that unlike Poland but it was a stick shift

so I couldn’t drive it so it sat in my garage. The washing machine I had in my place was in french so I didn’t know how to work it so I had to hand wash my stuff everyday. Also there was another American there on a try out as well so I had to go against him everyday as well. So imagine another person livelihood and dream is on the line just like yours for the same position and you are in a game wanting him not to fall but don’t do as good as you. By the way my bag is still in Poland!
Imagine being away from home not being able to talk to family , friends or anyone for support. I was on my own or so I thought . Be sure to get the next issue of Envision Magazine ( October 2023 ) For more about my Athletes Journey Overseas!

When God Says No
By Dr. Zelda Kitt |Host of Zelda Kitt MinistriesMatthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (ASV)
Growing up Southern Baptist in a small rural community, I will never forget when the Deacon began his address to the church. Clearing his throat, he stepped to the podium adjusting his bifocals and tugging on his brown suit. He began calmly, “Hmm…Well, it has be sung in our church that Jesus will never say no, but I have reason to say the opposite.”
You could hear summer crickets and surprised sighs make melody from the back of the small choir
stand. I sank deeper into the wooden bench where my family were glued and watched the glares of many eyes narrow their view up front.
“Alright now, “an older lady responded as she peered at the choir director who recently led the song.
Deacon argued passionately, “Not everything we ask for is good for us nor in order with the plans of God, and God being a wise God, a faithful and all-knowing God would not say yes when no is best. He may allow some things, but no is indeed an answer God gives.”
“Amen.” “Amen.” “Amen.” The sound of many voices hurled strong agreement toward the Deacon. Soon people began to testify that God’s no was the best answer in their situation.
“Well, if that be the case indeed, how do we know when God says no?” the choir director inquired. Everyone grew silent.
“I know,” I whispered. “When God says no, then it just doesn’t work, and if you do it anyway, you will soon regret it.”
The congregation smiled and nodded.
“Listen to the wisdom of a child,” the Pastor agreed and called me into his arms. “How do you know this young lady,” he asked.
I smiled with confidence and said, “Oh, it is because my parents say no all the time and usually, they are right. Besides, God loves us more than our parents.”

Rhythm of Your Life: What Makes Your Heart Beat?
by Dr. Julia A. Royston Host of Live Your Best LIfe & The Book Business Boss Show www.juliaroyston.netAs a writer, I write to different music. If I’m writing a romantic fiction, there may be smooth jazz or soft music playing. If I’m writing an inspirational, devotional, I may have gospel music playing. If I’m writing for business, I may not have any music playing because I really want to focus. But my entire life has a rhythm. My heart has a beat and often skips a beat if I am really excited about a project or an upcoming event. I like moving at a steady pace and don’t take enough time to slow down. Why? Because the rhythm and movement of my life keeps me alive, thinking, growing, moving and learning.
There are times when I do have a slower pace or a time of reflection, soft music in the background not pushing me to go fast like the music on an elevator. I can easily ignore that but what I like most, is the grand fast rhythms of somewhere to be, something to do and possibly even a problem to solve quickly so I can proceed with confidence to the next successful venture.
Have you ever been to a Mexican or Cuban restaurant where the music has a fast, syncopated beat playing while you wait for
your table or for the server to bring your food? You can’t help but sway from side to side or move to the beat of the music. So take some time to reflect on your life right now, what does the rhythm of your life feel like? Based on various styles of music, are you moving slowly like classical music or fast paced and syncopated like Spanish or Caribbean music? Does your life seem spastic and feel like you’re bouncing off the walls with no clear beginning, middle and end lacking a verse, chorus and hook like electronic music? Or is your life’s rhythm stuck in the blues?
Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and everyone has left me and I feel so alone. The rhythm of life shows up in how you live, how you speak, what’s on your calendar and how you spend your time and definitely shows up in how you spend your money. So how are you moving to the rhythm of your life? Remember to feel the rhythm, get in the flow of the beat, understand that every day won’t be perfect so sometimes you have to change the music to fit where you are or where you are going but, let the music take you to the Best Life You Ever Thought Possible. Let’s go!

The Stigmas of Mental Health in the Black Community

Mental health is an issue that affects everyone, regardless of race or ethnicity. However, the stigmas surrounding mental health in the Black community are particularly damaging and pervasive. These stigmas prevent individuals from seeking help and can lead to severe psychological and physical health consequences.
One of the most significant stigmas surrounding mental health in the Black community is the belief that seeking help is a sign of weakness. This idea has been perpetuated for generations, leading many individuals to suffer in silence rather than seek treatment.
to issues like therapy and medication. For example, many individuals believe that treatment is only for white people or those who are wealthy. In contrast, others view medication as a weakness or something to be ashamed of.
These stigmas have real-world consequences for individuals struggling with their mental health. They can prevent people from seeking treatment, lead to feelings of isolation and shame, and even contribute to higher rates of suicide among Black Americans.
down these harmful stigmas once and for all and ensure that everyone has access to the care they need when they need it most.
Another common stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community is the belief that mental illness results from a personal weakness or moral failing. This idea further perpetuates shame and guilt and ignores scientific evidence suggesting that mental illness has biological roots.
The stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community also extends

It's time for us as a society to address these stigmas head-on. We must work to educate ourselves about mental illness, its causes, and treatments so we can better support our loved ones who may be struggling with their mental health.
We must also work towards creating more inclusive spaces where individuals feel safe discussing their struggles with others without fear of judgment or ridicule. By doing so, we can break
This stigma is particularly harmful because it prevents people from getting the help they need when they need it most.Photo by Juan Manuel Merino on Unsplash

House of Manna, Bread of Life Church

ANNUAL MAKING A DIFFERENCE CONFERENCE (2023)
Dear Community Members,
In 2013, The House of Manna, Bread of Life Church started the Women’s Making A Difference Conference here in the Ft. Knox, Ky 1 area. However, the outpour for the conference grew so great that an outroar rang out for us to do it for more than just Women and thus the “Making A Difference (MAD) Conference” was born. This conference seeks to enlighten, educate and empower men, women and youth of the community to Make A Difference in one’s self, their home, their community and their world.
The mission of the “Making A Difference Conference” is to unify the community by bringing together Leaders and members of the community in Business, Government, Education, Arts and Entertainment, Family Services, Religion, and Media to work together in helping everyone find their purpose. Deep in our Spirits, we see a vision of a community thriving and excelling in all points of life and being an example to the world of the benefits of doing life God’s way. We believe in family, community and that it takes a village to raise a child and therefore, we are seeking to engage our
community to work together in the development of its citizens to include all the children in our community. This may come by encouragement, investment or for the most part a loving and caring concern for people and their plight in life and an effort to expose them to the world of opportunities available to them. Once exposed, we hope to fill them with a desire to ask where they fit in and push their hopes to a point of igniting the spark that will make a difference in their life to passionately pursue that goal and set the world on fire for God.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to handle conference costs for the travel, rooming and per diem of the out of town participants and all other monies will go to the local community to help support Open Doors Ministry, Hardin County School Youth Service Centers, Radcliff North Hardin Ministerial Association (RNHMA) and its campaign to donate supplies and resources to the education system to help youth with needs, the Community Scholarship Program that seeks to provide assistance to youth in the community pursuing a career in Robotics, the Brother to Brother Male mentorship program that works with young men in grades fifth to twelfth to better their English, Math and personal relation skills, Hardin County Beautiful Christian Allstars Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Basketball Team, that affords youth around the community and surrounding area an opportunity to showcase their gifts and encourage the community through basketball and last but not least the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets delivered for families of North Hardin High School by Alpha Omega Sigma, Fort Knox Chapter, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and the Nu Beta Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. These kind community members that Minister Linda and Pastor Marcus Dixon are a part of, not only helped family members with Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, but assisted in serving the holiday meal to the students of North Hardin High School (NHHS). These organizations mentor the students of NHHS through community service and monthly mentoring groups.
To ensure this project is a success we are asking members of the community to partner with us to help ensure the success of the conference. Your support can come in a number of ways. We are always seeking sponsors, volunteers, resources, ad purchases, equipment, contributions of monies and/or prizes and prayerfully your participation by attending, speaking and/or teaching at this event. We welcome and truly look forward to you and your organization partnering with us in this endeavor to empower the citizens of our community and to be a part of those committed to Make A Difference!
Sincerely,

Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we welcome you in the joy and gladness of Jesus the Christ to this year’s Making A Difference Conference. Praise, preaching, teaching, fellowship, food, fun and empowerment is awaiting and will be released as we come together on one accord and lift God, and search for His holy manifestation.
God has heard the prayers, seen the fasting and faithfulness of the Saints in our community, and our friends across the Nation, and around the world, and He has blessed this years’ conference to be one for the family. We are asking everyone to please diligently seek God this weekend and commit to getting to know the family through Love, Unity, Fellowship, Care, Concern and Compassion for the Body of Christ.
We pray that as you let go and let God have His way, that you depart this mountaintop experience enthused, enlightened and empowered to return to your communities and be a major part in “Making A Difference”

HERBS: A Daily Remedy
By Laquita Gaskins Host of What You Want to Talk About with Quita ? www.envision-radio.comIn today's fast-paced and stress-filled world, maintaining holistic health has become a top priority for many individuals. While modern medicine has made significant advancements, there is a growing interest in natural remedies that promote overall well-being. One such approach gaining popularity is the use of herbs. Herbs have been used for centuries in various cultures for their healing properties. This essay explores the benefits of herbs for holistic health, highlighting their versatility, accessibility, and potential for enhancing overall wellness.
Herbs have long been a cornerstone of traditional medicine systems, such as Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Indigenous healing practices. These systems have recognized the power of herbs in promoting balance and addressing imbalances in the body. Through careful observation and experimentation, ancient healers documented the
therapeutic properties of various herbs, providing a rich repository of knowledge that is still relevant today.
One of the remarkable aspects of herbs is their versatility. From culinary uses to medicinal applications, herbs offer a wide range of benefits. Some herbs, like basil and rosemary, enhance the flavors of dishes while providing antioxidants and other health-promoting compounds. Others, like chamomile and lavender, are known for their calming properties, making them ideal for reducing stress and promoting relaxation. Herbs such as turmeric and ginger possess anti-inflammatory properties, contributing to improved joint health and overall well-being.
Unlike many pharmaceutical drugs, herbs work in harmony with the body, supporting its innate healing mechanisms. They often have a holistic impact on the body, addressing the root causes of health issues rather than merely alleviating symptoms. For example, herbs like St. John's Wort have been used to support mental health by helping to balance neurotransmitters. Similarly, herbs like Echinacea and garlic are known for their immune-boosting properties, fortifying the body's defenses against infections and diseases.
Herbs are readily available and can be easily incorporated into daily life. Many herbs can be grown in home gardens or purchased from local farmers' markets, ensuring freshness and minimizing the use of harmful pesticides. Additionally, herbs are often more affordable than pharmaceutical medications, making them a viable option for individuals seeking natural alternatives to support their well-being.

Herbs can work synergistically with other holistic health practices, such as yoga, meditation, and acupuncture, to optimize well-being. Integrating herbs into a holistic health routine can enhance the overall effectiveness of these practices, promoting balance and harmony in mind, body, and spirit.
In the quest for holistic health, herbs offer a natural and accessible solution. Their rich history, versatility, and diverse applications make them a valuable resource for those seeking to enhance their overall well-being. By embracing the wisdom of ancient healing systems and incorporating herbs into our daily lives, we can harness their power to support a balanced and vibrant approach to holistic health. As always, it is advisable to consult with a qualified healthcare professional or herbalist before starting any herbal regimen to ensure safety and appropriateness for individual needs.
Mental health stigmas continue to plague our society, perpetuating harmful stereotypes and creating barriers to care and recovery. By actively addressing these stigmas, we can foster a more inclusive and compassionate society that supports the well-being of individuals with mental health conditions.
Firstly, education and awareness play a vital role in combating stigmas. Promoting accurate information about mental health, dispelling myths, and providing education about different conditions can help to reduce misconceptions. By fostering empathy and understanding, we can encourage a more compassionate approach towards individuals struggling with mental health challenges.
Secondly, challenging societal norms is crucial. Encouraging open discussions about mental health, both in personal and professional settings, can help break down stigmas. Media portrayal of mental health should be accurate and sensitive, avoiding sensationalism and promoting realistic and diverse representations. Inclusive policies that protect the rights and dignity of individuals with mental health conditions are also necessary to create a supportive environment.
Finally, establishing support networks and safe spaces is essential. By creating spaces where individuals can share their experiences without fear of judgment or discrimination, we can foster understanding, reduce isolation, and promote recovery. Support networks can offer a sense of belonging and provide valuable resources for those seeking help.
In conclusion, mental health stigmas have far-reaching consequences on individuals and society as a whole. By addressing these stigmas through education, open dialogue, and supportive environments, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate society. Together, we can break down the barriers that hinder access to care and support the recovery and well-being of individuals affected by mental health conditions.

Infertility: The Silent Cry
By Charliese Lewis, President Robert and Charliese Lewis Ministries Home of The 'After Church' Experience www.randclewisministries.comSince the beginning of time in Genesis, the man and the woman are charged to be fruitful and to multiply. But what happens when the quest to be fruitful and to multiply results in the diagnosis or outcome of infertility? When

childbearing seems out of reach in the natural?
Infertility is defined as not being able to get pregnant (conceive) after one year (or longer) after actively trying through unprotected intercourse.
Several stories exist in the Bible about women who were barren - Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, and Hannah, just to name a few. To be barren in those times was to be looked upon in society as a despised woman.
Many women suffer physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual challenges when fighting the battle of infertility.
the altar weeping like Hannah. I often thought that I just wasn't worthy.
In From the Test to the Testimony: An Anthology of Women’s Faith Stories my contribution, “And a Happy New Year,” was just a piece of my journey to motherhood. The road was not easy. The answer to my prayer came differently than my request. The big question came during my quiet moments in my personal prayer closet.
But let's not leave the men out of the discussion because conceiving a child isn't the sole responsibility of the woman. Yet, still, women often seem to carry the burden.
As a Christian woman and a wife who has felt the sting of infertility and cried tears silently, we still don't talk about infertility enough, particularly from a spiritual lens, and its impact on faith. After the many failed attempts at pregnancy, I felt that God had left me at
I knew the answer then. I have always known the answer.
Looking back, I've read the numerous journal entries during the infertility journey and I can recall the agonizing pain, really, which has been long buried. But the memory of feeling desperate and delirious with grief lingered for years.
Now, years later, I know this was the most surrendered place I had ever committed to God because I had no control of the outcome.
After four years, numerous surgeries, several fertility treatments, and a miscarriage, we became parents through the process of adoption. And, honestly, it probably saved my life. The other part of the discussion that remains in the shadows is the overall dangers these

treatments can cause to some women, especially African-American women, who have a higher rate of fibroids, cysts, and endometriosis.
I recognize every story doesn't end the same as ours. But I want to encourage the women who are walking on this similar journey I've traveled, there is hope. God sees you. He hears your silent cries. And He loves you.
I am grateful Psalm 113:9 reminds us that God will provide.
"He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD."
I am that woman.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT STARTS WITH US
by Selina Hudson Host of Keeping it Real selinahudson@live.com
Ruinous body management is worse than unruly money management because with financial mismanagement you can file bankruptcy and start all over again. However, with bad body management you cannot start all over again. You only get one body.
Although you cannot start over again, you can make a decision to respect your body starting today. I’m in this fight with you.
Bad body management cost you money. How?
● Co-pays at the doctor's office and emergency room.
● Maintenance drugs for chronic illnesses caused by obesity or smoking
● Costs of new clothes because of excessive weight gain.
There are many more reasons that I can name but you know what they are…
My doctor told me that I was bigger than she wanted me to be and I immediately lost 10 pounds. Why does a doctor have to tell us that we need to lose weight before we take it seriously? Are we saying that what the doctor says means more to us than what God has already said? 1 Cor 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not you own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body. Why isn’t that enough for us to eat right, exercise and not use tobacco products?
Jesus fasted forty days in the wilderness, and He was sustained by His faith. The devil came to Him and tried to tempt Him with bread, but He refused to give in. This is a good image for us to remember in our daily diet or while fasting. Often we feel we cannot go on when we miss just one meal. Christ proved to us
that even after missing meals for forty days, there is still a source of strength other than food. That source is God, and His strength is available to everyone who will ask for it. Let us remember to follow in the steps of Jesus Christ and lean on our heavenly Father whenever we feel weak or tempted.
What about exercise? How many times a week do you work out? You might say I have so much to do every day; I just do not have the strength or the time. The Apostle Paul understood this kind of strength when he said, "I can do everything [that pleases God] through [Christ] who gives me strength" (Phil. 4:13).
Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Science now understands that when we are joyful, chemicals are released in our brain, which gives us increased vigor, focus and motivation.
You might ask the question, where do I start?
Kenny Clayborn is a National Academy of Sports Medicine and Precision Nutrition Certified Personal Trainer, nutrition, and lifestyle coach. He states…The best approach for almost all of us, is a well-balanced approach to fitness that includes resistance training and cardio, in combination with a nutritional approach that prioritizes protein goals that are equal to 1 gram of protein per your goal body weight.
Thoughts: Financial Management is more than budgets and controlled spending. It is a part of many aspects of our lives, to include, how we treat our body. Every day is a new day that we get to start over and try again! Let’s do this together!
