Ce ar trebui să facă statul român pentru a aju ta în continuare industria aluminiului? Cred că este nevoie de o decizie strategică de accelerare a implementării măsurilor de sprijin adoptate de UE, dar, așa cum spuneam, este nevoie ca industria românească să aibă acces la energie, fără a fi obligată să o achiziționeze de la traderi mai mari sau mai mici, care anul trecut au denunțat unilateral contractele existente, pentru a vinde mai scump la bursă energia contractată deja de noi. Dacă dorim să avem industrie, investiții, taxe și impozite achitate la zi și fără întârziere, așa cum a făcut Alro în mod continuu și permanent, este obligatoriu să avem un acces corect la energia românească. Alro și industria românească, nu beneficiază, în momentul actual, de subvenții la prețul energiei electrice. În acest moment, nu există scheme de subvenționare pentru consumatorii industriali implementate de statul român. Înțelegem că

I think that a strategic decision is needed to accelerate the implementation of the support measures adopted by the EU, but, as I said, it is necessary for the Romanian industry to have access to energy, without being forced to buy it from traders, smaller or bigger, which, last year, unilaterally terminated the existing contracts, in order to sell for more money the energy already contracted by us. If we want to have industry, investments, taxes and duties paid on time and without delay, as Alro has done continuously and permanently, it is mandatory to have a correct access to Romanian energy. Alro and the Romanian industry do not currently benefit from subsidies for the price of electricity. At this moment, there are no subsidy schemes for industrial consumers implemented by the Romanian state. We understand that there are steps taken in this regard, but I cannot tell you the status of these steps. The European Union has implemented a support scheme to offset the indirect costs of emissions (ETS) that we have paid through the cost of energy. This scheme has been transposed in Romania for the years 2019 and 2020, although it has been implemented at EU level since 2012, and another compensation mechanism will be implemented for 2021-2030. The source of the funds obtained by Romania for offsetting was from the auctioning of greenhouse gas emission allowances allocated to our country by European Union legislation.
